Derbyniodd Abdulhamid Atia radd MSc gyda Rhagoriaeth mewn Peirianneg Drydanol ac Electronig o Brifysgol Coventry, y Deyrnas Unedig yn 2016. Ar hyn o bryd mae'n gweithio tuag at y radd PhD mewn Peirianneg Drydanol ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, y Deyrnas Unedig. Mae ei brif ddiddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys nodweddu celloedd ffotofoltäig crisialog a modiwlau sy'n gweithio o dan amodau cysgodi rhannol. Mae ei ymchwil hefyd yn cynnwys ymchwilio i ganfod bysedd cyswllt wedi torri mewn modiwlau ffotofoltäig.
