Trosolwyg
I'm a researcher and mental health consultant at DECIPHer (Centre for the Development, Evaluation, Complexity and Implementation in Public Health Improvement), Cardiff University.
My current project centres upon preventative intervention support for adolescent self-harm. It explores pupils' lived-experiences of self-harm in Wales. This project applies a public health systems-lens, analysing the risk and protective factors within the secondary school context. This is to understand pupils' health and support needs, centred upon pupils' perspectives.
My work is participatory-based and consultative. This means my research facilitates the views of sixth form pupils and young people in Wales who have lived experience of self-harm, as well as school staff and other community-based system-linked professionals. This work aims to generate and explore shared solutions to the health issue of adolescent self-harm in our society.
