Cemegydd ymchwil profiadol sy'n arbenigo mewn croestoriad bioddeunyddiau a chemeg arwyneb. Fy arbenigedd yw datblygu haenau biocompatible a deunyddiau cyfansawdd wedi'u teilwra ar gyfer cymwysiadau meddygol datblygedig, gan gynnwys deunyddiau a mewnblaniadau sy'n cysylltu â gwaed. Gan dynnu ar fy PhD yn Ffiseg a Chemeg Arwyneb, rwyf wedi gweithio'n helaeth ar arsugniad asidau carboxylig ar ocsidau anorganig, gan ddefnyddio technegau uwch fel DRIFT, TGA, SEM, AFM, a sbectrosgopeg màs dadsugniad thermol. Ymhlith yr uchafbwyntiau diweddar mae arwain ar haenau thromboresistant ar gyfer dyfeisiau sy'n cysylltu â gwaed fel rhan o Gymrodoriaeth Unigol Marie Curie ac arloesi haenau gwrthficrobaidd ar gyfer cymwysiadau orthopedig o fewn prosiect EPSRC. Ochr yn ochr â'm prif ffocws ar gemeg arwyneb, mae gen i hefyd sgiliau mewn synthesis nanoronynnau wedi'u llwytho i gyffuriau a dealltwriaeth ddofn o dechnegau microbioleg.
