Mae gen i brofiad helaeth o arwain ymchwil a ariennir yn allanol a gweithgaredd ymgynghori cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol, gan gynnwys gwaith gyda busnesau bach. Roeddwn yn Gyfarwyddwr Effaith ac Ymgysylltu Ymchwil Ysgolion rhwng 2016 a 2021.

Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n Llywydd y Sefydliad Busnesau Bach ac Entrepreneuriaeth (ISBE), sy'n gwasanaethu rhwng 2021 a 2023. Rwyf hefyd yn cadeirio'r pwyllgor trefnu ar gyfer cynhadledd 2021 ISBE yng Nghaerdydd.
Roeddwn i tan 2019 yn aelod o Rwydwaith Cynghori Strategol y Cyngor Ymchwil Economaidd a Chymdeithasol (ESRC), a chyn hynny roeddwn yn aelod ac yn Is-gadeirydd Pwyllgor Galluogrwydd ESRC. Rwyf hefyd wedi bod yn aelod o'r Panel Cynghori Gwyddonol ar Ddealltwriaeth Gymdeithas, arolwg hydredol aelwydydd y DU. Rhwng 2002 a 2012 bûm yn aelod penodedig o Banel Cynghori Ymchwil Economaidd Llywodraeth Cymru, gan gynghori Prif Weinidog Cymru ar ymchwil a pholisi economaidd, a pharhau i gynghori Llywodraeth Cymru mewn nifer o rolau ffurfiol ac anffurfiol. Roeddwn yn gyfarwyddwr Cyngor Rheoli Cymru. Rhwng 2009 a 2012 sefydlais ac arweiniais raglen LEAD Cymru Cronfa Gymdeithasol Ewrop sy'n cefnogi arweinyddiaeth a thwf busnesau bach ledled Cymru, gyda £7m o gyllid gan yr UE.
