Research

I am still involved with unravelling the geological history of Connemara in Western Ireland and with understanding the metagabbro-gneiss complex, the history of the Galway Granite batholith and now the fracturing history of the whole region and its control of the post-Dalradian erosion and sedimentation.

Teaching

I only give advice on suitable areas for undergraduate geological mapping projects in Western Ireland and preparation of the resulting theses.
