Overview
Dr Kasuga was awarded his PhD by Cardiff in 2010 with a thesis on The Formation of R. G. Collingwood’s Early Critique of “Realism”. He is a graduate of Soka University, Japan In addition to his expertise in British Idealism and Collingwood Studies, Dr Kasuaga’s specialist interests also include the relation between historical understanding and political action, International controversies over the perception of history in East Asia, business ethics and the ethics of profession.
Dr Kasuga is a member of the Japanese Society of British Philosophy and the Japanese Society for British Idealism as well as of the British Idealism and Collingwood Centre and has presented work in his research areas at conferences in the UK and in Japan.
Dr Kasuga will be working with academic staff of the British Idealism and Collingwood Centre.
