Overview
Professor Richard Jones is an Honorary Professor of Law at Cardiff Law School. He is both a qualified solicitor and a social worker and is a Consultant in mental health and community care law for Morgan Cole Solicitors.
Richard was previously a senior lecturer in social welfare law at Cardiff University and Deputy Director of Social Services at Mid Glamorgan County Council. His Mental Capacity Act Manual is now in its third edition. He is also the author of the Mental Health Act Manual, now in its twelfth edition. Richard is the general editor of the Encyclopaedia of Social Services and Child Care Law.
Richard, who has held a number of public appointments, has lectured widely on mental health law. He is closely involved with the work of the Centre for Health and Social Care Law at Cardiff Law School.
