Overview
I studied BA Spanish at Cardiff University from 2012 to 2016. During my degree I completed a year abroad at the University of Granada, Spain. I have C1 level Spanish and I have also completed beginners courses in Italian and Catalan. I was previously employed as an assistant on the Routes into Languages Cymru Project. I am currently the submissions manager for the AHRC funded Question journal.
In 2018 I received an MPhil (Cardiff) with a thesis on 'The Agentic Child: Redefining the Child Seer in Contemporary Spanish Horror Film' and I am now pursuing PhD study thanks to the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership studentship, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). My PhD explores the depiction of the orphan child in Hispanic visual cultures. I am based at Cardiff University and Exeter University.
I was able to undertake studies for the award of MPhil after receiving the Henrique’s Scholarship, which funded my tuition. I have been able to undertake a PhD thanks to a scholarship with the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership funded by the AHRC.
