Overview
I am a theoretical astrophysicist investigating the origin of binary black hole mergers that were detected by gravitational waves. In my work, I develop numerical models for the evolution of massive stars to black holes.
Before I started my PhD in Cardiff, I studied physics at ETH Zurich and the University of Heidelberg at the Master and Bachelor level, respectively. During my studies I was granted an excellence scholarship of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
