Overview
I'm Dr. Masoud Ahmadinia. As a Circular Economy Research Associate at Cardiff University, I've been working on the TransFIRe programme, collaborating with 12 universities and more than 80 companies to guide the UK towards a sustainable future. My contributions range from detailed carbon footprint calculations to life cycle assessments, emphasising sustainable business practices and waste reduction.
I've collaborated with several industry partners, including The Royal Mint. This partnership has provided insights into e-waste recycling, where I've produced comprehensive reports, process cost analyses, and provided Sankey diagrams to visualise material and energy flows. Alongside my networking initiatives, I've established valuable partnerships and contributed to significant case studies in the area of design, manufacturing and sustainable environmental practices.
Holding a PhD in CO2 storage from Coventry University, I also have two MScs: one in Petroleum Engineering from Polito (Turin) and another in Environmental and Land Planning Engineering from Polimi (Milan). My academic background and practical experiences underscore my commitment to sustainability.
