Overview
I am a Senior Lecturer in physiotherapy education with over 17 years experience as an academic. Within HCARE, I have made substantial contributions to curricula development, assessment, quality assurance and programme validation where I have held various school leadership and programme roles and responsibilities.
Throughout my professional career (academic and clinical), I have developed a successful and sustained approach to knowledge transfer through the development and delivery of research led CPD programmes and courses at local, national and international levels. My research has contributed towards the advancement of knowledge and pedagogy in professional practice, through scholarly outputs, clinical mentorship and research led curricula development and delivery.

Teaching
I teach across both UG and PG programmes on topics such as qualitative research, professional and personal development & practice including reflective practice.
I am the module lead for personal, professional and communication module at Level 6 which is an interprofessional education module and co-module for the Level 4 Physiotherapy Practice in Health and Society. I am also the qualitative research lead for the BSc programme. I am currently developing a new Level 6 online module Physiotherapy Practice for Employment for the academic year 2021-22.

Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Healthcare Sciences at Cardiff University.
My academic career spans 17 years where I have made a significant contribution to teaching and scholarship. I have an established UK wide reputation as someone with expertise in physiotherapy education; continuing professional development and ethics and law in relation to paediatric physiotherapy practice. I also have a growing international profile; evidenced by a range of scholarly outputs such as professional guidance, professional journals and conference papers including several international and national keynote addresses.
