Overview

I studied at the Royal College of Music and at Cardiff University School of Music, where I was awarded a PhD in Composition. I now work as a composer, arranger and lecturer.

Biography

I collaborated extensively with the late composer and explorer David Fanshawe; arrangements include Pacific Song (first performed in Miami, USA and recorded by the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus), and the brass band and orchestra versions of The Lord's Prayer from African Sanctus (recently performed by the Black Band, Orchestra of Opera North and the Northern Sinfonia).

A new orchestral arrangement of David Fanshawe's film music was premiered at the Royal Festival Hall in March 2012.

I have also arranged music on two albums by cult Bristol band,The Blue Aeroplanes, and worked with the wind ensemble New Harmonie, creating arrangements for their work in special schools, residential nursing homes and day care centres.
