Overview

I am an observational astronomer working in the field of galaxy formation and evolution. My studies consist in detailed multi-wavelenght investigations of galaxies and active galactic nuclei (AGN), carried out with the primary aim of understanding the connection between the fueling and feedback processes of central super-massive black holes (SMBHs) and the evolution of their host galaxies (the so-called "co-evolution"). Within this general context, I am particularly expert in the analysis of the origin, physics and kinematics of the cold inter-stellar medium (i.e. dust, molecular and atomic gas) and of the properties of the radio jet component, using data from most competitive instruments currently operating at millimetre and radio wavelengths (i.e. ALMA, JVLA and the SKA precursor MeerKAT).
