Rwy'n hanesydd syniadau ac yn ddamcaniaethwr beirniadol sy'n mwynhau gweithio ar draws ffiniau disgyblaethol. Dros y pedwar degawd diwethaf, rwyf wedi dysgu hanes, athroniaeth, economi wleidyddol, astudiaethau Almaeneg, a theori feirniadol ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, Prifysgol Martin Luther Halle-Wittenberg, ac fel ysgolhaig gwadd ym Mhrifysgol Xiamen. Addysgu
Goruchwyliaeth PhD ac Ôl-ddoethurol
Rwyf wedi cael y fraint o weithio gyda llawer o fyfyrwyr PhD talentog ac ymchwilwyr ôl-ddoethurol mewn meysydd mor amrywiol â gwleidyddiaeth gyfoes, seicodadansoddiad damcaniaethol a hanes modern Ewrop. Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n croesawu ymholiadau am oruchwyliaeth ymchwil yn enwedig yn y meysydd canlynol:
- Hanesyddiaeth fodern a theori hanesyddol
- Hanes a chysyniad moderniaeth
- Ideolegau cyfoes (ecomoderniaeth, cyflymiad ac altruistiaeth effeithiol)
- Perthnasedd Marx (theori cyfalaf ac argyfwng), Nietzsche (nihiliaeth fodern), Heidegger (dyneiddiaeth a thechnegol) a Foucault (biobŵer a biowleidyddiaeth)
Os oes gennych brosiect ymchwil diddorol yn unrhyw un o'r meysydd hyn, mae croeso i chi gysylltu â ni.
Bywgraffiad
Ymunais â Phrifysgol Caerdydd fel darlithydd yn 2000, gan ddod o Brifysgol Martin Luther Halle-Wittenberg, lle'r oeddwn yn gymrawd ymchwil yng Nghanolfan Marx-Engels MEGA ac yn ddarlithydd yn yr adrannau hanes a'r economi wleidyddol.
Yn Ysgol Ieithoedd Modern Caerdydd a'i rhagflaenwyr, rwyf wedi gweithredu mewn rolau amrywiol, megis pennaeth addysgu a dysgu, cyfarwyddwr astudiaethau Almaeneg, rheolwr llinell ar gyfer adrannau Ffrangeg a Sbaenaidd, a chyd-gyfarwyddwr y Ganolfan Beirniadaeth Ideoleg ac Astudiaethau Žižek. Ym mis Tachwedd 2024, cefais statws emeritws.
Fel cefnogwr Undeb Prifysgol a Choleg y DU, rwy'n eirioli dros werthoedd addysg rydd, ymreolaeth broffesiynol a hunanlywodraethu colegol.
Rwy'n Gymrawd y Gymdeithas Hanesyddol Frenhinol a Chymdeithas Frenhinol y Celfyddydau, Llundain.
