Timau a rolau for Stephen Pettit
Athro Emeritws
Trosolwyg
Mae Stephen yn Athro yn yr Adran Logisteg a Rheoli Gweithrediadau Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd. Graddiodd gyda gradd BSc Anrhydedd mewn Daearyddiaeth Forwrol o Brifysgol Caerdydd ym 1989 ac yn 1993 dyfarnwyd PhD iddo gan Brifysgol Cymru.
Yn dilyn hynny, mae wedi bod yn ymwneud ag ystod o ymchwil sy'n gysylltiedig â thrafnidiaeth gan gynnwys prosiect arloesol i'r Adran Drafnidiaeth, gan astudio gofynion economi'r DU ar gyfer pobl â phrofiad morwrol, a oedd yn tynnu sylw at faterion pwysig yn ymwneud â'r gostyngiad yn nifer y swyddogion morwrol yn y DU. Mae hefyd wedi bod yn rhan o nifer o raglenni ymchwil ar gyfer DGTREN yr UE gan gynnwys 'Gwerth Economaidd Llongau i Economi'; 'Dadansoddiad o Strwythur Costau prif Borthladdoedd TEN'; a 'Trefniadaeth Gwaith mewn Porthladdoedd'.
Mae gwaith mwy diweddar wedi canolbwyntio ar Logisteg Cymorth Dyngarol a Rheoli Cadwyn Gyflenwi. Ariannwyd prosiect cychwynnol gan y Sefydliad Siartredig Logisteg a Thrafnidiaeth drwy eu cynllun Grant Hadau ac fe'i cyd-ymchwiliwyd gyda'r Athro Anthony Beresford. Mae'r gwaith hwn wedi'i ymestyn drwy gydweithio â Phrifysgol Cranfield ym Menter Logisteg Ddyngarol Caerdydd-Cranfield. Mae Stephen wedi ysgrifennu nifer fawr o bapurau cyfnodolion, papurau cynhadledd ac adroddiadau yn bennaf ar ddatblygu porthladdoedd, polisi porthladdoedd a logisteg cyflenwi cymorth dyngarol.
