Amdanaf
Rwy'n Uwch-ddarlithydd mewn Dylunio Adeiladu a Strwythurau yn Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Cymru (WSA). Cyn hynny, roeddwn yn Ddarlithydd mewn Peirianneg Sifil Clyfar ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd ers mis Gorffennaf 2020. Roeddwn yn Gyd-ymchwilydd Grant Rhaglen Deunyddiau Gwydn UKRI-EPSRC 4 Life (RM4L -https://rm4l.com/): cyfle cyffrous a heriol i astudio a datblygu deunyddiau hunaniachau manyleb uchel yn y diwydiant adeiladu. Rwy'n Beiriannydd Siartredig gyda'r Sefydliad Peirianneg Sifil (CEng MICE).
Mae fy mhrif weithgaredd ymchwil yn gysylltiedig â Grŵp Ymchwil Strwythurau Cydnerthol a Deunyddiau COnstruction (RESCOM). Mae fy ymchwil hefyd yn cynnwys datblygu technolegau craff a system awtomataidd ar gyfer hunan-atgyweirio strwythurau concrit . Prif weledigaeth yr ymchwil yw dylunio elfennau strwythurol craff sy'n gallu canfod, cydnabod a gwella difrod crac. Y nod yw lleihau allyriadau sy'n gysylltiedig â'r diwydiant adeiladu ac adeiladu adeiladau cynaliadwy. Mae gen i ddiddordeb hefyd mewn datblygu offer digidol ar gyfer dylunio strwythurau deallus sy'n seiliedig ar wybodaeth. Mae gen i brofiad mewn dadansoddi strwythurol o strwythurau concrit a dur wedi'u hatgyfnerthu.

I am available to supervise PhD, MPhil students, project students (undergraduate and postgraduate), interns and visiting students on the following topics:
- Retrofitting of existing strucutures (concrete or masorny)
- Parametric Structural Design
- Self-healing concrete
- Water transport in porous media
- Structural damage and assessment
- ...I am also open to other topics.
Note: Prospective research students (PhD, EngD, MPhil, MRes) should investigate potential funding and/or scholarships before getting in touch. The UK Government has made available the Doctoral Student Loans (up to £26,000 for UK and EU students).
