Amdanom fi
Rwy'n Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn Dylunio Adeiladau a Strwythurau yn Ysgol Pensaernïaeth Cymru (WSA) ac yn Beiriannydd Siartredig (CEng MICE) gyda chefndir mewn peirianneg sifil glyfar. Cyn hyn, roeddwn yn Ddarlithydd mewn Peirianneg Sifil Smart ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd o 2020. Roeddwn i'n Gyd-Ymchwilydd ar Raglen UKRI-EPSRC Grant Resilient Materials 4 Life (RM4L), menter bwysig sy'n canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu deunyddiau perfformiad uchel, hunan-iachau ar gyfer y diwydiant adeiladu.
Ers 2021, rwyf wedi arwain dwy Wobr Cyflymydd Effaith EPSRC - un yn canolbwyntio ar systemau canfod difrod ar gyfer deunyddiau smentig, ac un arall, mewn partneriaeth â LUSAS, yn archwilio strategaethau addasu ar gyfer ymsuddiant yn Eglwys Sant Ioan Efengylydd yn Llundain. Rwyf hefyd yn fentor ICE swyddogol, yn cefnogi Aelodau Graddedigion ar y llwybr i siarteriaeth.
Mae fy ymchwil gyfredol yn archwilio technolegau clyfar ar gyfer ôl-osod adeiladau maen presennol i fynd i'r afael ag effeithiau newid yn yr hinsawdd, yn enwedig suddiant. Rwyf hefyd yn gweithio ar ddatblygu systemau deallus ar gyfer canfod ac atgyweirio craciau strwythurol mewn deunyddiau adeiladu. Nod y weledigaeth hon yw lleihau ôl troed carbon y diwydiant adeiladu trwy ddylunio a rheoli adeiladau mwy cynaliadwy, gwydn.
