Rwy'n Ddarlithydd yn Ysgol y Gwyddorau Cymdeithasol, lle rwy'n addysgu ar fodiwlau addysg a chymdeithaseg. Rwyf hefyd yn Gyfarwyddwr Astudiaeth Aml-garfan Addysg WISERD, astudiaeth garfan hydredol o blant ysgolion uwchradd yng Nghymru sydd bellach yn ei 12fed flwyddyn. Astudiaeth genedlaethol yw hon sy'n cael ei defnyddio'n helaeth gan lunwyr polisi fel ffynhonnell dystiolaeth allweddol am brofiadau plant o dyfu i fyny yng Nghymru.
Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys hawliau, asesu a thegwch plant mewn addysg. Mae llawer o'm hymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar degwch asesiadau a chymwysterau cenedlaethol yn y DU o safbwynt hawliau plant. Mae gen i ddiddordeb hefyd mewn mudiadau cymdeithasol plant a gweithredu amgylcheddol. Yn ddiweddar, roeddwn yn gynghorydd ar Gwricwlwm Dysgu'r Dyfodol ar gyfer Newid Hinsawdd: adolygiad o newidiadau trac o'r cwricwlwm cenedlaethol i Loegr. Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gweithio fel Cyd-ymchwilydd ar grant Ecosystem Bontio Gwyrdd AHRC sy'n ceisio datblygu Llwyfan Map Agored Cymunedol (COMP) i fynd i'r afael â heriau cymdeithasol ac amgylcheddol ar Ynys Môn.
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gweithio ar brosiect ar gyfranogiad plant a phobl ifanc mewn mudiadau cymdeithasol yng Nghymru gyda chydweithwyr yng Nghaerdydd, gan ganolbwyntio ar actifiaeth plant ynghylch polisïau ac arferion ysgolion.
Yn ystod fy nghyfnod yng Nghaerdydd rwyf wedi cwblhau dau brosiect ar gyfer Comisiynydd Plant Cymru, gan gynnwys adolygiad tystiolaeth ar hawliau dynol plant yng Nghymru.
