Rwy'n Ddarllenydd mewn Nyrsio Iechyd Meddwl gydag ymchwil ac arbenigedd clinigol mewn iechyd meddwl plant a phobl ifanc. Rwy'n mwynhau addysgu a goruchwylio myfyrwyr israddedig ac ôl-raddedig ac ar hyn o bryd mae gen i allu i fyfyrwyr doethurol newydd sydd â diddordeb mewn naill ai iechyd meddwl neu ddulliau ansoddol. Rwyf hefyd wedi hyfforddi mewn therapi teulu systemig a CBT.
Roedd fy PhD yn astudiaeth ymchwil gweithredu gyda gwasanaeth iechyd meddwl plant lleol lle buom yn gweithio gyda'n gilydd i leihau eu rhestr aros anfoddhaol ar gyfer eu gwasanaeth, gan ddefnyddio model brysbennu pwrpasol (http://www.fons.org/library/journal/volume4-issue1/article7).

Ymchwil
Mae gennym brosiect newydd cyffrous. Mae https://www.cardiff.ac.uk/healthcare-sciences/research/projects/moment2talk Moment2Talk yn cael ei ariannu gan yr NIHR ac yn canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu ymyrraeth sesiwn sengl ar gyfer plant a phobl ifanc a gyfeiriwyd at CAMHS gyda phryder iechyd meddwl... Newyddion pellach i ddilyn.
Rwy'n ymchwilydd ansoddol profiadol gydag arbenigedd methodolegol mewn methodoleg astudiaethau achos, ymchwil gweithredu a dulliau ethnograffig a dyfarnwyd gwobr Ymchwil RCN (Cymru) mewn Nyrsio i mi yn 2017. Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar drefnu a darparu gwasanaethau iechyd meddwl i blant a phobl ifanc. Gellir dod o hyd i grynodeb o ddau brosiect allweddol, Glasbrint ac Argyfwng CAMH, yma.
Roedd Blueprint yn brosiect a ariennir gan Raglen Ymchwil Gwasanaethau Iechyd a Chyflenwi NIHR a oedd yn edrych ar wasanaethau i blant a phobl ifanc â phroblemau iechyd meddwl cyffredin: https://www.journalslibrary.nihr.ac.uk/programmes/hsdr/170908
Roedd CAMH Crisis yn synthesis tystiolaeth sy'n ymchwilio i sut mae gwasanaethau yn cael eu darparu i blant a phobl ifanc 5 -25 oed sy'n profi argyfyngau iechyd meddwl. Mae croeso i chi weld yr animeiddiad a ddatblygwyd o'r astudiaeth honno: https://youtu.be/awgTJGK21Is
Mae astudiaethau cyfredol yn cynnwys CAMH Crisis2 DiVERT ac Iechyd a Gwaith Ieuenctid https://sites.manchester.ac.uk/health-and-youth-work
Mae gen i ddiddordeb hefyd mewn cynnal adolygiadau systematig, ac rwy'n cael fy hyfforddi mewn dulliau Sefydliad Joanna Briggs. Mae enghraifft o adolygiad wedi'i gwblhau a gomisiynwyd gan Goleg Brenhinol y Seiciatryddion yma: https://journals.lww.com/jbisrir/Fulltext/2018/10000/Admission_and_discharge_criteria_for_adolescents.2.aspx
Addysgu
Rwy'n cyfrannu at y rhaglen nyrsio israddedig, gan ddysgu materion iechyd meddwl plant yn benodol, dulliau seicotherapiwtig, defnyddio tystiolaeth mewn dulliau iechyd ac ymchwil. Rwyf hefyd yn goruchwylio traethodau hir. Rwy'n mwynhau addysgu mewn grwpiau bach a hwyluso sesiynau dysgu drwy brofiad i fyfyrwyr nyrsio iechyd meddwl gaffael ac ymarfer eu sgiliau sydd eu hangen yn fawr ar gyfer ymarfer clinigol.
Ar lefel ôl-raddedig, rwy'n goruchwylio traethodau hir MSc: adolygiadau systematig a phrosiectau seiliedig ar waith. Gall hyn fod ar draws y maes pwnc. Rwyf hefyd yn arwain modiwl doethuriaeth broffesiynol: Meddwl systemau: gweithio ac arwain mewn sefydliadau cymhleth.
Bywgraffiad
Rwy'n ymarferydd iechyd meddwl profiadol, sydd wedi mwynhau gyrfa gyfoethog yn cofleidio ymarfer clinigol, rolau mewn arweinyddiaeth glinigol, cynnal ymchwil yn bennaf mewn iechyd mebtal plant ac addysgu ar draws disgyblaethau a lefelau academaidd.
Cyn gweithio ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd, roeddwn i'n gweithio fel nyrs iechyd meddwl mewn gwasanaeth cleifion allanol i blant a phobl ifanc ag anghenion iechyd meddwl. Ar ôl hyfforddi mewn Therapi Ymddygiad Gwybyddol i Blant a Phobl Ifanc a hefyd mewn Therapi Teulu Systemig, gweithiais yn seicotherapiwtig gyda phlant, rhieni, oedolion a theuluoedd yng nghyd-destun timau amlddisgyblaethol ac aml-asiantaeth. Rwyf hefyd wedi gweithio'n glinigol mewn gwasanaethau iechyd meddwl fforensig, mewn gofal diogel canolig ac mewn lleoliadau cymunedol, unwaith eto yn gweithio gyda theuluoedd yr effeithir arnynt gan y sefyllfaoedd hyn.
Ers ymuno â Phrifysgol Caerdydd yn 2003, rwyf wedi cadw cysylltiad ag ymarfer fel bod fy addysgu a'm hymchwil yn cynnal hygrededd ac effaith yn y maes.
