Mae Dr Debajyoti Bhaduri yn Uwch Ddarlithydd mewn Gweithgynhyrchu Gwerth Uchel yn Ysgol Peirianneg Prifysgol Caerdydd. Mae ei ddiddordeb ymchwil yn canolbwyntio'n fras ar y gweithgynhyrchu peiriannu / malu uwch, micro-weithgynhyrchu laser a gweithgynhyrchu ychwanegion metel (AM), technolegau gweithgynhyrchu hybrid, megis peiriannu / malu â chymorth uwchsonig, peirianneg arwyneb trwy cotio dyddodiad anwedd corfforol (PVD), tecstio laser, a sgleinio laser.
Cyn ymuno â Phrifysgol Caerdydd, mae Dr Bhaduri wedi bod yn rhan o sawl prosiect Ewropeaidd fel Cymrawd Ymchwil ym Mhrifysgol Birmingham rhwng 2013-2018 a oedd yn canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu a gweithredu cadwyni proses gweithgynhyrchu hybrid, gan ymgorffori camau cyn ac ôl-brosesu amrywiol rannau AC metelaidd. Yn ystod ei PhD, datblygodd broses malu porthiant ymgripiol hybrid ultrasonic newydd ar gyfer peiriannu aloion awyrofod datblygedig fel Inconel 718, CMSX-4 a titaniwm gamaluminide.
Mae gweithgaredd ymchwil presennol Dr Bhaduri'n canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu llwybrau gweithgynhyrchu cylchol newydd ar gyfer cynhyrchu powdrau cynaliadwy ar gyfer AC metel. Mae'r ymchwil yn galluogi astudiaeth synergyddol ar gynaliadwyedd prosesau AC a'u heffaith amgylcheddol o'r persbectif cylch bywyd. Mae ei arbenigedd ymchwil hefyd yn cwmpasu gwahanol dechnegau nodweddu wyneb a materol trwy garwedd, microgaledwch, microstrwythur a gwahanol ddadansoddiad microsgopig a sbectrosgopig (EDS, WDS, EMPA, SIMS, XPS, OES a XRD).

- Cylchlythyr Hubrid Gweithgynhyrchu (CHM) - Mae'r ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu llwybrau gweithgynhyrchu cylchol newydd ar gyfer cynhyrchu powdrau cynaliadwy ar gyfer gweithgynhyrchu ychwanegion metel (AM). Mae'r ymchwil yn galluogi astudiaeth synergyddol ar gynaliadwyedd prosesau AC a'u heffaith amgylcheddol o'r persbectif cylch bywyd. Mae'r strategaeth ymchwil yn cyd-fynd â tharged 'Net Zero' Llywodraeth y DU, gyda'r nod o leihau ôl troed carbon technegau cynhyrchu presennol powdr AC yn ddramatig a meithrin ailgylchu deunyddiau i gynhyrchu rhannau AM gwerth uchel.
- Datblygu Cadwyni Proses Gweithgynhyrchu Hybrid - Mae'r ymchwil yn cynnwys optimeiddio prosesau AM ar gyfer deunyddiau metelaidd newydd, ac yna ôl-brosesu'r rhannau AC trwy dechnegau peirianneg arwyneb laser, megis caboli laser a thestyllu arwyneb laser, i wella uniondeb wyneb y rhannau adeiledig.
- Tecstilau arwyneb trwy micromilling mecanyddol - Mae hon yn dechneg peirianneg arwyneb cyflenwol i'r tecstilau arwyneb laser (LST). Gwneir dadansoddiadau uniondeb wyneb cymharol ar y rhannau, gwead trwy ficromilling mecanyddol a LST.
