Fi yw Rheolwr Cyfnewid Gwybodaeth a Materion Allanol y Rhwydwaith Ymchwil Iechyd Ysgolion (SHRN). Rwy'n gyfrifol am feithrin perthnasoedd ymchwil, polisi ac ymarfer strategol gyda phartneriaid allweddol, gan gynnwys Llywodraeth Cymru, Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru, Llywodraeth Leol, ac ysgolion ledled Cymru. Fy mhrif ffocws yw hyrwyddo datblygiad SHRN trwy Gyfnewid Gwybodaeth, Materion Allanol a Chyfathrebu effeithiol.
Cyn hynny, roeddwn yn Bennaeth Gweithrediadau ar gyfer Sefydliad Trydydd Sector y DU, gan arwain rhaglenni gwella cenedlaethol a oedd yn canolbwyntio ar ymarfer seiliedig ar dystiolaeth, diogelu a chyd-gynhyrchu. Chwaraeais ran bwysig yn natblygu'r cynllun When I Am Ready Llywodraeth Cymru a'r Fframwaith Maethu Cenedlaethol. Roeddwn hefyd yn aelod o nifer o grwpiau cynghori Llywodraeth Cymru. Roedd y rôl hon yn cynnwys lobïo'r llywodraeth a chreu polisïau a datganiadau safbwynt wedi'u hymchwilio'n dda i sicrhau cyllid a gyrru newid i blant agored i niwed, yn enwedig mewn addysg. Rwyf wedi bod yn allweddol wrth weithredu egwyddorion cyd-gynhyrchu mewn gofal cymdeithasol, gan sicrhau bod plant a gofalwyr yn cymryd rhan weithredol mewn datblygu a darparu gwasanaethau.
Rwy'n awdur cyhoeddedig ym maes maethu, gan gyfrannu'n sylweddol at ddealltwriaeth academaidd ac ymarferol o'r meysydd hyn. Mae fy nghyhoeddiadau yn cynnwys Men Who Care (2014), Fostering in a Digital World (2021), a Building Relationships Through Storytelling (2012). Cyfrannais bennod hefyd i gyhoeddiad sy'n arwain y sector The Fostering Network, Safer Caring: A New Approach (2013), a chyd-awdur pennod yn The Bloomsbury Handbook of Creative Research Methods (2024). Fe wnes i greu a gwasanaethu fel golygydd ar gyfer cylchgrawn hirsefydlog The Fostering Network Thrive i bobl ifanc (2006-22), sy'n cwmpasu pob agwedd ar ei ddatblygiad a'i gyhoeddi. Roeddwn hefyd yn gyfrannwr allweddol i The Skills to Foster , prif gwrs cyn-gymeradwyo y DU ar gyfer gofalwyr maeth.
Mae gen i hanes profedig o ysgrifennu ceisiadau cyllid llwyddiannus, sicrhau grantiau gwerth uchel trwy nodi rhagolygon, adeiladu cynigion cadarn, ac argyhoeddi comisiynwyr gyda mewnwelediadau arbenigol ac ymrwymiad cryf i nodau sefydliadol. Rwy'n rhagori mewn datblygu a gweithredu cynlluniau strategol, dylunio rhaglenni gwaith peilot, a sefydlu prosesau, cyflenwi a chynlluniau gweithredu ar gyfer datblygu a phrofi, gyda ffocws penodol ar gomisiynu rhanbarthol a chenedlaethol. Mae ymchwil, dysgu a thystiolaeth yn llywio pob agwedd ar fy ngwaith.
Rwy'n rhan annatod o astudiaethau ymchwil lluosog a gynhaliwyd gan SHRN, DECIPHer a CASCADE, gan gyfrannu at hyrwyddo maes iechyd meddwl a lles plant a phobl ifanc.
Rwy'n ymrwymedig i egwyddorion cyd-gynhyrchu, lle mae ymchwilwyr, ymarferwyr a llunwyr polisi, a'r cyhoedd yn gweithio gyda'i gilydd i seilio ymchwil mewn realiti a chynnal persbectif sy'n canolbwyntio ar y person.
Ers 2009, rwyf wedi bod yn Llywodraethwr Ysgol, ac yn Is-gadeirydd, mewn lleoliadau ysgolion arbennig, cynradd ac uwchradd.
