Mae Beth wedi bod yn ymchwilydd ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd ers 2015 ac mae wedi'i lleoli yn Sefydliad Gwyddorau'r Heddlu y Brifysgol. Ei phrif feysydd diddordeb yw eithafiaeth, terfysgaeth, plismona a rheolaeth gymdeithasol.
Bu ymchwil PhD Beth yn archwilio atal eithafiaeth, gan ganolbwyntio ar ymyriadau cynnar i bobl ifanc yng Nghymru. Mae ei phrosiectau presennol yn canolbwyntio ar blismona a bregusrwydd, ac mae Beth yn rhan o'r tîm sy'n datblygu ystorfa Diogelu Cymru (a ariennir gan Lywodraeth Cymru).
Mae ymchwil blaenorol Beth yn cynnwys gwerthusiad o ddefnydd Heddlu De Cymru o dechnoleg adnabod wynebau. Arweiniodd ar waith maes ac adroddiad y prosiect, a ddyfynnwyd gan ddyfarniad yr Uchel Lys yn 2019.
