Cefais PhD o Brifysgol Polytechnig Hong Kong yn 2012 gyda thraethawd ymchwil mewn ferroelectrics. Yn ogystal â'r traethawd ymchwil, gweithiais hefyd ar bynciau fel uwch-ddargludyddion tymheredd uchel a dynameg polymer yn ogystal â systemau cwantwm agored. Yn fuan ar ôl cael PhD, ymunais â'r Sefydliad Cenedlaethol ar gyfer Gwyddor Deunyddiau (NIMS) yn Tsukuba, Japan fel ôl-ddoethurol yn gwneud ymchwil ar systemau graphene, lle dyfarnwyd cymrodoriaeth dwy flynedd i mi gan Gymdeithas Japan ar gyfer Hyrwyddo Gwyddoniaeth (JSPS). Ar ôl treulio peth amser yng Nghaerwysg (~ 3 blynedd, atseinyddion Josephson) a Manceinion (~ 1 flwyddyn, deunyddiau van der Waals), deuthum i Brifysgol Caerdydd fel Darlithydd yn 2019. Fel ffisegydd, rwy'n cael hwyl fawr yn darganfod gwaith Natur. Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn eang (gwiriwch fy nghyhoeddiadau), ar hyn o bryd yn canolbwyntio ar effeithiau ffiniau ffisegol, ynysyddion topolegol a systemau cymhleth (e.e. sbectol a rhwydweithiau), ac maent i gyd yn cyfrannu mewn un ffordd neu'r llall yn paentio darlun cydlynol o Natur i mi.
