Fy mhrif faes ymchwil yw presgripsiynu anfeddygol a’r ffordd mae rôl y fferyllydd yn ehangu. Dros y 15 mlynedd diwethaf mae rôl y fferyllydd wedi newid yn aruthrol a bydd yn parhau i wneud hynny dros y blynyddoedd i ddod. Bywgraffiad

Cwblheais fy ngradd Meistr ym maes Fferylliaeth gydag anrhydedd dosbarth cyntaf ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd yn 2001. Yna fe wnes i fy hyfforddiant cyn-cofrestru mewn adran fferylliaeth mewn ysbyty yng Ngogledd Cymru. Yn ystod fy mlwyddyn olaf ar y rhaglen israddedig, cwblheais brosiect ymchwil a datblygais ddiddordeb gwirioneddol ym maes ymchwil ymarfer. Pan gwblheais fy mlwyddyn cyn-cofrestru a chofrestru gyda'r Cyngor Fferyllol Cyffredinol (Cymdeithas Fferyllol Frenhinol Prydain Fawr fel yr oedd bryd hynny) yn 2002, achubais ar y cyfle i ddychwelyd i Gaerdydd i ddechrau fy PhD. Roedd y gwaith hwn yn canolbwyntio ar bresgripsiynwyr anfeddygol a thaith y fferyllwyr cyntaf i hyfforddi ym maes presgripsiynu atodol yng Nghymru. Graddiais gyda fy PhD yn 2006. Yn ddiweddarach y flwyddyn honno cefais fy mhenodi’n ddarlithydd ymarfer fferylliaeth ac ers hynny rwyf wedi cael dyrchafiad yn Uwch Ddarlithydd.

Mae fy rolau yn yr ysgol yn amrywiol ac yn cynnwys addysgu ac asesu pob blwyddyn o’r cwrs MPharm. Fi yw cadeirydd Pwyllgor Moeseg Ymchwil yr Ysgol ac mae gennyf rôl ymchwil weithredol; rwy’n goruchwylio prosiectau israddedig blwyddyn olaf a myfyrwyr PhD.
