Rwy'n Gynorthwyydd Ymchwil sydd wedi'i leoli yn DECIPHer ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Mae fy mhrofiad ymchwil yn seiliedig yn bennaf mewn systemau addysg; Fel cyn-athro mae gen i gyfoeth o brofiad addysgu yn y sector addysg bellach ac uwch. Fy niddordebau ymchwil penodol yw datblygu polisi addysg yn ymarferol, ac yn rolau blaenoriaethau iechyd ym mhob lleoliad addysg. Rwy'n gweithio'n bennaf ar brosiectau sydd wedi'u lleoli mewn ysgolion, gan gynnwys y Rhwydwaith Ymchwil Iechyd Ysgolion ar lefel uwchradd a cynradd, gan gasglu, dadansoddi a syntheseiddio data ansoddol ar gyfer adroddiadau a chyhoeddiadau rhanddeiliaid.

Ymchwil
Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar Addysg ac Iechyd; Rwyf wedi addysgu ac ymchwilio mewn amrywiaeth o leoliadau gan gynnwys ysgolion cynradd ac uwchradd, colegau addysg bellach, addysg gymunedol ac addysg uwch. Mae gen i ddiddordeb yn y ffyrdd y mae systemau addysg cymhleth yn addasu i bolisïau a mentrau iechyd, gan gynnwys datblygu'r cwricwlwm, cefnogi dysgwyr a chefnogi iechyd meddwl a chorfforol athrawon.
Addysgu
Mae fy addysgu wedi canolbwyntio ar raglenni addysg gan gynnwys Addysg Gychwynnol i Athrawon (TAR) a rhaglenni addysg israddedig. Rwyf hefyd wedi dysgu ar raglenni Cymdeithaseg israddedig, gan gyflwyno myfyrwyr i hanfodion methodoleg ac ymchwil, yn ogystal â goruchwylio traethodau hir israddedig. Rwyf hefyd yn addysgu ar gyrsiau a ddarperir gan DECIPHer, gan gynnwys y cwrs byr Gwerthuso Prosesau sy'n rhoi cipolwg ar ddatblygiad uniondeb ymchwil.
Bywgraffiad
Mae fy nghefndir mewn addysgu, dysgais mewn addysg bellach am 5 mlynedd gyda myfyrwyr 16+ oed ar draws ystod o bynciau gan gynnwys cyfathrebu, rhifedd, sgiliau allweddol ehangach a Bagloriaeth Cymru. Roedd fy hyfforddiant cychwynnol i athrawon yn canolbwyntio ar addysg gymunedol. Rwy'n arbenigwr llenyddol, yn gweithio gydag oedolion i feithrin sgiliau sylfaenol yn eu datblygiad llythrennedd personol.
Ymunais â Phrifysgol Caerdydd yn 2015 i weithio ar y Meistr mewn Ymarfer Addysgol yn ei charfan derfynol, gan ddod ag Athrawon Newydd Gymhwyso ledled Cymru at ei gilydd i astudio ar lefel ôl-raddedig.
Symudais i ganolfan ymchwil DECIPHer yn 2017 i weithio ar brosiect WISE, ymyrraeth i iechyd meddwl athrawon, ac ers hynny rwyf wedi gweithio ar y Rhwydwaith Ymchwil Iechyd Ysgolion (SHRN), a'r rhwydwaith Cynradd newydd, yn ogystal â'r asesiad Dull Ysgol Gyfan o werthuso Iechyd Meddwl.
