Rwy'n Brif Gymrawd Ymchwil a Methodolegydd Adolygu Systematig yn Ysgol y Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd, Prifysgol Caerdydd, lle rwyf wedi gweithio ers 1996. Yn ogystal, rwy'n gwasanaethu fel Cyd-gyfarwyddwr Canolfan Gofal sy'n Seiliedig ar Dystiolaeth Cymru, Canolfan Ragoriaeth JBI.
Ym mis Ebrill 2023, ynghyd â phum canolfan arall ledled Cymru, cafodd Canolfan Gofal Seiliedig ar Dystiolaeth Cymru ei chontractio gan Ganolfan Dystiolaeth Iechyd a Gofal Cymru i ddarparu cynnyrch synthesis tystiolaeth sy'n ateb cwestiynau blaenoriaeth ar gyfer polisi ac ymarfer yng Nghymru. Mae Canolfan Dystiolaeth Iechyd a Gofal Cymru yn gweithio gyda rhanddeiliaid sy'n ymwneud ag iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol ledled Cymru, i ddeall effaith y pandemig ar y systemau darparu iechyd a gofal yng Nghymru, blaenoriaethu cwestiynau sy'n atebol o'r dystiolaeth ymchwil, a sicrhau bod y dystiolaeth orau sydd ar gael, gyfoes a pherthnasol ar gael yn rhwydd i lywio eu penderfyniadau.
Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn anghydraddoldebau gofal iechyd ar draws grwpiau agored i niwed ac roedd fy PhD yn canolbwyntio ar fynd i'r afael ag anghenion poblogaethau bregus mewn gofal iechyd. Tynnais dystiolaeth o bum adolygiad systematig o ddulliau cymysg i archwilio sut y gellir lleihau anghydraddoldebau gofal iechyd ar draws gwahanol grwpiau agored i niwed. Ymhlith y pynciau sydd o ddiddordeb cyfredol mae mynediad at wasanaethau canser a phrofiadau o ofal canser i oedolion ag anabledd corfforol, gofal ymataliaeth i bobl sy'n byw gyda dementia, gofal diwedd oes i bobl ag afiechyd meddwl difrifol ac ymatebion i argyfwng i blant a phobl ifanc.

Rwyf wedi bod yn brif ymchwilydd ar nifer o brosiectau synthesis tystiolaeth, a gomisiynwyd gan sefydliadau gan gynnwys GIG Lloegr, Sefydliad Canser Ewrop, Canolfan Gydweithredu Sefydliad Iechyd y Byd ar gyfer Datblygu Bydwreigiaeth, Coleg Brenhinol Midwivies, Cynghrair James Lind, Llywodraeth Cymru, ac Ysgolion Peirianneg a Seicoleg ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Mae ein rhaglen waith bresennol gyda Chanolfan Dystiolaeth Ymchwil Iechyd a Gofal Cymru.

Rwyf wedi derbyn cyllid i ymgymryd ag Adolygiad Astudiaeth o fewn Adolygu (SWAR) sy'n canolbwyntio ar werthuso defnyddioldeb offer unedig ar gyfer arfarnu'n feirniadol o fewn adolygiadau cyflym o effeithiau ymyrraeth. Byddaf yn arwain tîm rhyngwladol o arbenigwyr o sefydliadau enwog, gan gynnwys Prifysgol McMaster yng Nghanada a Phrifysgol Queen's Belfast i fynd i'r afael â heriau methodolegol yn y broses arfarnu feirniadol trwy asesu effeithlonrwydd ac effeithiolrwydd offer unedig. Mae'r gwaith hwn yn adeiladu ar adolygiad cwmpasu cynhwysfawr o offer unedig ar gyfer asesu ansawdd methodolegol astudiaethau ar hap ac ar hap, a gyflwynwyd fel poster yn yr Uwchgynhadledd Dystiolaeth Fyd-eang ym Mhrâg ym mis Medi 2024. Mae'r prosiect hwn nid yn unig yn ceisio symleiddio'r broses adolygu ond hefyd i greu model y gellir ei gymhwyso'n rhyngwladol, gan wella cyflymder a chywirdeb adolygiadau cyflym ar gyfer y rhai sy'n gwneud penderfyniadau gofal iechyd ledled y byd.
Gan ddechrau ym mis Ionawr 2025, byddaf yn arwain y llif gwaith synthesis tystiolaeth fel rhan o brosiect a ariennir gan raglen Ymchwil Cyflenwi Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol NIHR. Nod y prosiect yw gwella profiadau pobl Affricanaidd ac Affricanaidd Caribïaidd sy'n byw gyda dementia i gael mynediad at gymorth gan Ofal Cymdeithasol i Oedolion. Bydd ffrwd waith synthesis tystiolaeth yn canolbwyntio ar ddadansoddi ymchwil ansoddol bresennol er mwyn deall mynediad a phrofiadau gwasanaeth yn well ar gyfer y boblogaeth hon. Bydd y gwaith hwn yn helpu i lywio strategaethau ar gyfer canfod yn gynnar, cefnogaeth ddiwylliannol briodol, a gofal teg i unigolion sy'n byw gyda dementia yn y cymunedau hyn.

Mae'r pynciau rwy'n eu haddysgu i gyd yn cyd-fynd â'm harbenigedd mewn synthesis tystiolaeth yr wyf yn eu haddysgu ar lefel ôl-raddedig i fyfyrwyr gofal iechyd sy'n rhychwantu ystod o ddisgyblaethau academaidd (nyrsys, bydwragedd, radiograffwyr, ffisiotherapyddion a therapyddion galwedigaethol).
Rwy'n cyd-arwain modiwl Traethawd Hir yr Adolygiad Systematig ar gyfer y Meistr mewn Ymarfer Gofal Iechyd Uwch (NRT 080).
Rwy'n arwain trefniadaeth a chyflwyniad rhaglenni hyfforddi synthesis tystiolaeth JBI - hyfforddiant adolygu systematig cynhwysfawr a gweithdy adolygu cwmpasu.
