Trosolwyg
Rwy'n ymchwilydd iechyd ansoddol ar hyn o bryd sy'n gweithio ym maes ymchwil canser a gofal palliat. Mae gen i gefndir mewn seicoleg a chymdeithaseg sy'n berthnasol i iechyd a meddygaeth.
Yn fy rôl bresennol, mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ddeall a gwella profiadau cleifion o reoli iechyd a salwch a defnyddio gwasanaethau gofal iechyd. Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn ymyriadau i gleifion er mwyn sicrhau eu bod yn ddigon gwybodus i gymryd rhan mewn decsiynau am eu gofal a'u triniaeth iechyd. Rwy'n gweithio ar brosiectau cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol yn y maes hwn.
Dechreuodd fy ngyrfa ymchwil ym maes gofal sylfaenol ac mae gen i brofiad o lythrennedd iechyd, cyfathrebu iechyd a chyd-reseach gwneud decsion gyda chleifion â chydymdeimladau tymor hir. Rwyf hefyd wedi astudio llythrennedd iechyd a chyfathrebu iechyd yn fwy penodol ar gyfer pobl hŷn â chyflyrau iechyd corfforol a meddyliol hirdymor.

Ymchwil
Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar brofiadau byw cleifion o iechyd a salwch a defnyddio gwasanaethau gofal iechyd. Mae gen i arbenigedd mewn cyfathrebu iechyd a gwneud penderfyniadau triniaeth mewn amrywiol gyd-destunau iechyd, gan gynnwys cyflyrau tymor hir, canser uwch, gofal lliniarol, a gofal diwedd oes.
Llythrennedd Iechyd
Un o'm prif feysydd arbenigedd a diddordeb yw cysyniadu llythrennedd iechyd a brofir gan bobl â chyflyrau hirdymor ac yn fwy diweddar cleifion â chanser uwch. Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil parhaus yn canolbwyntio ar brofiadau cleifion tanbaid o lythrennedd iechyd a llythrennedd canser a throi'r canfyddiadau ymchwil hyn yn ymyriadau i gefnogi datblygiad llythrennedd iechyd i sicrhau mynediad ac ymgysylltiad mwy teg â gofal iechyd, a chanlyniadau iechyd gwell i gleifion yn seiliedig ar eu dewisiadau unigol.
Ymchwil Canser a Gofal Lliniarol
Rwy'n gweithio ar raglen ymchwil ar gyfer Canolfan Ymchwil Canser Cymru sy'n canolbwyntio ar Optimeiddio Triniaethau Canser cleifion. Mae Myfocus ar ddatblygu prosiectau i greu a lliniaru ymyriadau digidol i gefnogi patiens â chanser datblygedig gyda phenderfyniadau gwybodus a chydgysylltiedig ar hyd eu taith canser ac ar yr adeg pan fo opsiwn ar gyfer gofal lliniarol a thriniaethau palliatve systemig. Mae gen i ddiddordeb hefyd mewn datblygu mecanweithiau ar gyfer cyfathrebu a chynnwys dewisiadau cleifion mewn cyfarfodydd tîm muti-ddisgyblaethol lle mae triniaethau'n cael eu trafod a'u hargymell.
Areulder
Rwyf hefyd yn gweithio ar yr Astudiaeth Serenity, rhaglen waith Horizon Europe ac Innovate UK i ddatblygu offeryn cefnogi gwneud penderfyniadau ar y cyd i gefnogi penderfyniadau ynghylch dadbresgripsiynu therapi gwrth-thombotig ar gyfer cleifion â chanser datblygedig sy'n derbyn gofal lliniarol a diwedd oes. Fy rôl ar y prosiect yw arwain cyfranogiad cleifion a'r cyhoedd ar draws saith pecyn gwaith ac wyth gwlad. Rwy'n ymwneud â gwaith ansoddol gyda chlinigwyr a chleifion a datblygu a phrofi'r offeryn cymorth gwneud penderfyniadau a rennir.
Ymchwil Gofal Sylfaenol a Gofal Brys
Yn ddiweddar, rwyf wedi cwblhau gwaith ar Werthusiad Realaidd a ariennir gan NIHR o feddygon teulu sy'n gweithio mewn neu ochr yn ochr ag Adrannau Achosion Brys. Fy rôl i oedd arwain gwaith maes cymwys (arsylwadau a chyfweliadau) ac anlalysis fel rhan o'r gwerthusiad realaidd dulliau cymysg. Cyflwynwyd yr adroddiad yn ddiweddar ac mae 16 o bapurau wedi'u cyhoeddi yn gysylltiedig â'r prosiect.
Arbenigedd Ymchwil Ansoddol
Rwy'n gweithio gydag ystod o ddulliau ansoddol, gan gynnwys cyfranogwyr ac arsylwi nad ydynt yn gyfranogwyr, ethnograffeg, cyfweld ansoddol a dulliau adolygu ansoddol. Mae gen i arbenigedd hefyd mewn ystod o ddulliau dadansoddi ansoddol a ddefnyddir mewn seicoleg a chymdeithaseg.
Addysgu
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n addysgu ar y modiwl Cyflyrau Tymor Hir ar y BSc Rhyng-alw mewn Meddygaeth Boblogaeth ac yn goruchwylio myfyrwyr y prosiect
Rwyf hefyd yn helpu i gyflwyno sesiwn ar wneud penderfyniadau ar y cyd ar gyfer yr Wythnos Meddygaeth Seiliedig ar Dystiolaeth ar gyfer myfyrwyr meddygol blwyddyn 3
Rwy'n goruchwylio myfyrwyr prosiect ar yr MSc mewn Meddygaeth Lliniarol
Rwyf hefyd yn goruchwylio prosiectau SSC myfyrwyr meddygol ar draws blwyddyn 2 a 3
