Arman Eshraghi sy'n dal y Cadeirydd Cyllid a Buddsoddi yn Ysgol Busnes Caerdydd. Yng Nghaerdydd, mae Arman yn cyfarwyddo Grŵp Ymchwil Fintech, ac yn gwasanaethu fel Dirprwy Bennaeth Adran Ymchwil, Effaith ac Arloesi.
Cyn hynny, roedd Arman ym Mhrifysgol Caeredin, ac mae wedi dal swyddi gwadd ym Mhrifysgol Manceinion, Coleg Prifysgol Llundain, a Phrifysgol Caergaint yn Seland Newydd. Cyn y byd academaidd, roedd yn ymgynghorydd rheoli yn y sectorau bancio a thelathrebu. Mae gan Arman PhD mewn Cyllid o Brifysgol Caeredin, MBA gyda chanolbwynt cyllid a BSc mewn Peirianneg Drydanol, y ddau o Brifysgol Sharif yn Tehran. Canmolwyd ei ymchwil doethurol ac ôl-ddoethurol yn fawr gan EFMD Global, Emerald Literati, SFE Rising Star, a gwobrau EFG Young Scholar .
Ymchwil
Mae ymchwil academaidd Arman yn rhychwantu cyllid a chyfrifeg gyda diddordebau eang gan gynnwys rheoli buddsoddiadau, cyllid ymddygiadol, technoleg ariannol, llywodraethu corfforaethol, a chyfrifo beirniadol. Y tu hwnt i'r byd academaidd, mae'r Athro Eshraghi yn ymgysylltu ag ystod o sefydliadau yn y sector cyllid i gynnig ymchwil a hyfforddiant pwrpasol. Mae wedi rhoi sgyrsiau gwadd, ymhlith eraill, yn y Federal Reserve Bank (Efrog Newydd), Centre for European Economic Research (Mannheim), Sefydliad Cenedlaethol Marchnadoedd Gwarantau (Mumbai), a sefydliadau'r DU fel yr ONS, CFA UK Institute a CityUK. Mae Arman yn aelod o Fwrdd Cynghori Fintech Cymru, mae wedi cynghori nifer o gwmnïau yn y DU ym maes marchnadoedd ariannol, ac mae'n fentor yn Fintech Wales Foundry.
Addysgu
Mae Arman yn angerddol iawn am addysgu ac addysg. Y tu hwnt i Gaerdydd, mae wedi dysgu carfannau amrywiol yn y DU (Caeredin, Llundain, Manceinion, Warwick), Ewrop (Gwlad Belg, Denmarc, Netherland, Portiwgal) ac Asia (Tsieina, India, Gwlad Thai). Ar hyn o bryd mae'n arholwr allanol MSc Bancio a Chyllid Rhyngwladol yn Bayes (gynt, Cass) Ysgol Fusnes yn City, Prifysgol Llundain.
Fel arfer, mae addysgu Arman yn cynnwys cyrsiau MSc, MBA, PhD a gweithredol mewn rheoli buddsoddiadau, cyllid ymddygiadol, cyllid corfforaethol a fintech (mae rhestr lawn ar gael ar y tab addysgu uchod). My teaching philosophy seeks student-focused learning and initiating conceptual changes. I am passionate about teaching innovations and led a research project on transforming finance education using investment/trading simulation platforms. My teaching has won awards voted by students for Best Teaching Innovation in 2017, Best Postgraduate Course in 2016, Inspirational Teaching in 2015 and several other nominations.
Inter alia, I have delivered postgraduate and executive programmes in the UK (Edinburgh, Warwick, Cardiff, London), Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Portugal) and Asia (Iran, India, Thailand). I have also some experience teaching personal finance for Wallich, a homelessness charity, and primary school students from a deprived area of Wales.
Executive education and industry engagement are among my key interests. I designed a two-day executive masterclass in 2015 on 'Advances in Behavioural Finance' which has since been delivered to several British, American, Indian and Chinese organisations.
