Mae fy ymchwil yn gorwedd ar y rhyngwyneb rhwng cyfrifiadureg, ffiseg arbrofol a chosmoleg damcaniaethol.
Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn datblygu dealltwriaeth ddamcaniaethol newydd o arsyllfeydd cosmolegol, yn ogystal â dadansoddi data a thechnegau efelychu rhifiadol i ddadansoddi data astroffisegol. Er mwyn deall ein data'n gywir, mae angen i ni ddysgu priodweddau ein hofferynnau, ac rwy'n arbenigwr mewn cysylltu effeithiau systematig offerynnol â mesuriadau cosmolegol terfynol.
Y dyddiau hyn mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig mewn synergeddau rhwng arsylwadau'r awyr yn y band microdon ac arolygon galaeth mewn amleddau eraill. Rwy'n awyddus i gyfuno'r ddwy set ddata hyn i wella ein gwybodaeth o'r bydysawd a thaflu goleuni ar ffiseg neutrino, chwyddiant, mater tywyll ac egni tywyll yn ogystal ag ar amrywiaeth o astroffiseg galactig ac allgyrsiol (e.e. ffiseg clystyrau galaethau neu IGM).
Rwy'n aelod o nifer o arbrofion CMB. Dechreuais fy ngyrfa yn gweithio ar arbrawf POLARBEAR, telesgop sy'n ymroddedig i arsylwadau CMB a gynhyrchodd y mesuriad cyntaf o'i batter polareiddio modd B di-liw wedi'i fewnbrintio gan yr effaith lens disgyrchiant. Ers hynny, deuthum yn rhan o gydweithrediad Arsyllfa Simon a CMB-S4.
Rwy'n cyd-arwain gweithgor lensio Arsyllfa Simons ac yn arbennig y wyddoniaeth drawsberthyniad gydag arolygon galaeth. Rwyf hefyd yn rhan o gonsortiwm Euclid lle rwy'n cyd-arwain ei weithgor gwyddoniaeth trawsberthyniad CMB.
