Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ddaearyddiaeth drefol ac economaidd. Yn gyntaf, mae gen i ddiddordeb yn y wleidyddiaeth bob dydd a'r cysylltiadau pŵer sy'n nodweddu llywodraethu dinasoedd, gan gynnwys arferion trafod a dadlau rhwng actorion. Yn ystod y pum mlynedd diwethaf mae fy ymchwil yn y maes hwn wedi canolbwyntio ar archwilio sut mae awdurdodau lleol trefol yn cyfryngu cyni, gan ganolbwyntio'n benodol ar ddatblygiad economaidd ac adfywio. Cynhaliwyd yr ymchwil hon gyda nifer o gynghorau dinas yn y DU. Cyhoeddwyd ymchwil mewn nifer o gyfnodolion, gan gynnwys EPA, Astudiaethau Trefol, Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy and Society, a Geoforum.
Ar hyn o bryd fi yw'r prosiect PI ar brosiect a ariennir gan Ymddiriedolaeth Leverhulme sy'n archwilio arferion casglu dyledion treth y cyngor llywodraeth leol, a'u heffeithiau ar ddyledion Treth y Cyngor profiadol dinasyddion. Mae'r prosiect yn archwilio pob cyngor metropolitan yn Lloegr, yn ogystal â thair astudiaeth achos unigol lle bydd cyfweliadau gyda'r holl randdeiliaid beirniadol, a chyfweliadau a grwpiau ffocws gyda dinasyddion.
Yn ail, rwy'n ymgymryd ag ymchwil ar rôl daearyddiaeth yng nghyfluniad corfforaethau, a'u heffaith ar gysylltiadau daearyddol, yn enwedig mewn perthynas â safbwynt y Rhwydweithiau Cynhyrchu Byd-eang. Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn sut mae daearyddiaeth yn sail i gysylltiadau pŵer o fewn y gorfforaeth, a chanlyniad cyfluniadau pŵer o'r fath ar ddaearyddiaethau economaidd. Mae ymchwil o'r maes hwn wedi'i gyhoeddi mewn cyfnodolion fel y Journal of Economic Geography. Roeddwn yn Gymrawd Leverhulme rhwng 2018-19, yn gwneud ymchwil ar effaith Brexit ar gorfforaethau tramor yn y DU. Archwiliodd yr astudiaeth sut mae corfforaethau'n cyfryngu effeithiau Brexit, gan gynnwys archwilio sut mae cadwyni cyflenwi yn cael eu hailgyflunio, ac effaith gynnar Brexit ar ddatblygu rhanbarthol. Mae fy ymchwil presennol yn y maes hwn yn archwilio effeithiau digideiddio ar gwmnïau awyrofod mewn rhai rhanbarthau yn Lloegr. Mae prosiect arall yn edrych ar rôl y rhanbarth yn natblygiad y sector iechyd digidol.
Yn olaf, mae gen i ddiddordeb eang yn athroniaeth y broses Alfred North Whitehead. Mae agweddau amrywiol ar athroniaeth y broses yn dylanwadu ar fy ymchwil mewn daearyddiaeth drefol ac economaidd. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig yng nghysyniad Whitehead o spacetime fel y'i cynhyrchir trwy'r continwwm helaeth.

Ymchwil
Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ddaearyddiaeth drefol ac economaidd. Yn gyntaf, mae gen i ddiddordeb yn y wleidyddiaeth bob dydd a'r cysylltiadau pŵer sy'n nodweddu llywodraethu dinasoedd, gan gynnwys arferion trafod a dadlau rhwng actorion. Yn ystod y pum mlynedd diwethaf mae fy ymchwil yn y maes hwn wedi canolbwyntio ar archwilio sut mae awdurdodau lleol trefol yn cyfryngu cyni, gan ganolbwyntio'n benodol ar ddatblygiad economaidd ac adfywio. Cynhaliwyd yr ymchwil hon gyda nifer o gynghorau dinas yn y DU. Cyhoeddwyd ymchwil mewn nifer o gyfnodolion, gan gynnwys EPA, Astudiaethau Trefol, Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy and Society, a Geoforum.
Ar hyn o bryd fi yw'r prosiect PI ar brosiect a ariennir gan Ymddiriedolaeth Leverhulme sy'n archwilio arferion casglu dyledion treth y cyngor llywodraeth leol, a'u heffeithiau ar ddyledion Treth y Cyngor profiadol dinasyddion. Mae'r prosiect yn archwilio pob cyngor metropolitan yn Lloegr, yn ogystal â thair astudiaeth achos unigol lle bydd cyfweliadau gyda'r holl randdeiliaid beirniadol, a chyfweliadau a grwpiau ffocws gyda dinasyddion.
Yn ail, rwy'n ymgymryd ag ymchwil ar rôl daearyddiaeth yng nghyfluniad corfforaethau, a'u heffaith ar gysylltiadau daearyddol, yn enwedig mewn perthynas â safbwynt y Rhwydweithiau Cynhyrchu Byd-eang. Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn sut mae daearyddiaeth yn sail i gysylltiadau pŵer o fewn y gorfforaeth, a chanlyniad cyfluniadau pŵer o'r fath ar ddaearyddiaethau economaidd. Mae ymchwil o'r maes hwn wedi'i gyhoeddi mewn cyfnodolion fel y Journal of Economic Geography. Roeddwn yn Gymrawd Leverhulme rhwng 2018-19, yn gwneud ymchwil ar effaith Brexit ar gorfforaethau tramor yn y DU. Archwiliodd yr astudiaeth sut mae corfforaethau'n cyfryngu effeithiau Brexit, gan gynnwys archwilio sut mae cadwyni cyflenwi yn cael eu hailgyflunio, ac effaith gynnar Brexit ar ddatblygu rhanbarthol. Mae fy ymchwil presennol yn y maes hwn yn archwilio effeithiau digideiddio ar gwmnïau awyrofod mewn rhai rhanbarthau yn Lloegr. Mae prosiect arall yn edrych ar rôl y rhanbarth yn natblygiad y sector iechyd digidol.
