Research

My research interests include the management of chronic health conditions. With particular interest in chronic lung diseases, cardiovascular risk factors and cancer.
Current projects include; $acirc;  Assessment of Risk in Chronic Airways Disease Evaluation (ARCADE)$acirc;   funded through the School of Medicine, Cardiff University. I am also working with the Cancer Trials Unit at Cardiff University, investigating the $acirc;  the Role of Exercise in Patient with Cancer Cachexia$acirc;

  • Research Capacity Building Collaboration Wales PhD studentship. Co-morbidities in patients with chronic respiratory disease ( £36, 000 over 3 years) (June 2006)

I graduated form the University of Salford in 2006, with a 1st class BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree.

Following this, I secured a sponsorship from rcbcwales (research capacity building collaboration, Wales) to undertake a PhD in respiratory physiotherapy at Cardiff University which I completed in December 2010.

Presently my research work includes patients with chronic lung disease and patients with cancer. I also contribute to teaching on the undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy courses, and I am currently undertaking the Postgraduate Certificate in Undergraduate Teaching and Learning (PCUTL).
