Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Ddarllenydd mewn Troseddeg yn Ysgol y Gwyddorau Cymdeithasol Prifysgol Caerdydd, ac mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar droseddau cyfundrefnol a marchnadoedd anghyfreithlon — gyda ffocws penodol ar farchnadoedd cyffuriau anghyfreithlon, masnachu pobl, a smyglo pobl. Mae llinyn o'r gwaith hwn yn archwilio sut mae technolegau digidol yn ail-lunio'r economïau troseddol hyn, gan agor cyfleoedd newydd i'r rhai sy'n eu hecsbloetio a heriau newydd i'r rhai sy'n ceisio eu datgymalu.
Mae fy ymchwil wedi cael ei ariannu gan yr ESRC, EPSRC, y Comisiwn Ewropeaidd, yr Academi Brydeinig, a'r Swyddfa Gartref, gan gynhyrchu dros £1.5 miliwn mewn incwm. Ond yr hyn sy'n gyrru fy ymchwil yw effaith yn y byd go iawn. Rwy'n gweithio'n agos gyda'r llywodraeth a gorfodi'r gyfraith - gan gynnwys y Swyddfa Tramor, y Gymanwlad a Datblygu, y Swyddfa Gartref, a'r Asiantaeth Troseddu Cenedlaethol - gan droi canfyddiadau yn bolisi ac arfer sy'n cael effaith weithredol go iawn.
Rwyf hefyd yn eistedd ar Bwyllgor Gwyddonol Asiantaeth Cyffuriau'r Undeb Ewropeaidd, un o ddim ond 15 aelod o bob cwr o Ewrop, a benodwyd i gynghori'r Bwrdd Rheoli a'r Cyfarwyddwr ar faterion gwyddonol sy'n ganolog i waith yr asiantaeth.
Dechreuodd fy nhaith academaidd ym Milan, lle cwblheais fy PhD yn yr Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore a gweithiais fel ymchwilydd yn Transcrime rhwng 2011 a 2015, gan gyfrannu at brosiectau a ariennir gan yr UE ar droseddau cyfundrefnol.
Rwy'n croesawu ymholiadau gan ddarpar fyfyrwyr PhD sydd â diddordeb mewn marchnadoedd anghyfreithlon, masnachu cyffuriau, masnachu pobl, smyglo pobl, troseddau cyfundrefnol, neu rwydweithiau troseddol ar-lein. Os yw'r meysydd hyn yn cyd-fynd â'ch diddordebau ymchwil, peidiwch ag oedi cyn cysylltu â ni.
