Ymchwil
Ar hyn o bryd, rwy'n adolygu fy thesis ar ailadroddiadau o'r stori Arthuraidd o'r bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg a'r ugeinfed ganrif i'w chyhoeddi mewn llyfrau. Dyma'r cofnod parhaol cyntaf o Arthuriana fodern i ganolbwyntio'n llwyr ar ailysgrifau Saesneg, Cymraeg, Cernyweg a'r Albanaidd o'r chwedl, ac mae'n talu sylw arbennig i'r rôl y mae ysgoloriaeth yn ei chwarae wrth bennu ystyr yr oesoedd canol yn y byd modern.
Mae fy mhrosiect ymchwil nesaf yn astudiaeth o ganoloesoldeb Americanaidd: monograff ar y berthynas rhwng diwylliant America a llenyddiaeth yr Oesoedd Canol.
Diddordebau ymchwil
- Chwedl Arthuraidd
- Robin Hood
- ffurfiannau canoloesolaeth Prydain ac America o'r ddeunawfed ganrif hyd heddiw
- myth a moderniaeth (yn enwedig y defnydd o ddiwylliant canoloesol mewn ysgrifennu modernaidd)
- Crefydd a Phrydeindod
- Ysgrifennu Cymraeg yn Saesneg
- Evelyn Waugh a'i gyfoeswyr
Addysgu
Mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn ystod eang o bynciau canoloesol a modern, o Robin Hood i D.H. Lawrence ac rwy'n addysgu nifer o fodiwlau ar y radd BA Llenyddiaeth Saesneg: Traddodiad Robin Hood, Myth a Moderniaeth a Llenyddiaeth Ganoloesol Hwyr, yn ogystal â chyfrannu at y Brenin Arthur yn elfen y bedwaredd ganrif ar bymtheg a'r ugeinfed ganrif ar gyfer MA Llenyddiaeth Saesneg.
