Responsibilities
Ed is a full time member of staff at WSA, chair of BSc year 2, and a practicing architect. Other responsibilities include: Architectural Design teaching (design studio) Architectural Technology (AT1B module leader) MArch Dissertation supervisor Design & Practice Research Group
External activities
Ed has practiced as an architect for fifteen years, following completion of an MPhil (creativity in urban design) and a PhD (energy efficient housing). He has designed public, commercial and healthcare sector buildings, but has developed a particular focus on housing. He is also a DCfW panel member.
Ed has produced work for numerous exhibitions and publications, and has won a number of international design competitions. He is currently working in association with Welsh Government on the delivery of innovative housing (encompassing both construction techniques and delivery pathways).
