Trosolwyg
Mae fy agwedd tuag at hanes syniadau yn debyg iawn i anthropolegydd. Rwy'n ceisio adfer a gwneud synnwyr o sut mae pobl, sy'n byw ar wahanol adegau ac mewn gwahanol leoedd, yn cysyniadu eu crefyddau crefyddol eu hunain ac yn wrthwynebydd, paradeim gwyddonol, hunaniaethau cenedlaethol ac iwtopia gwleidyddol.
Mae gen i arbenigedd arbennig mewn Tsiecoslofacia, Catholigiaeth Seisnig a chysylltiadau Comiwnyddol-Gatholig yn ystod y Rhyfel Oer.
Fy nghyhoeddiadau mwyaf adnabyddus yw Defosiwn Catholig yn Victorian England (Gwasg Prifysgol Rhydychen), 'Christianity in Western Europe from the Enlightenment' yn A World History of Christianity, and Czechoslovakia: The State That Failed (Yale University Press).
Bydd fy llyfr nesaf, Catholigiaeth y tu ôl i'r Llen Haearn, hefyd yn cael ei gyhoeddi gan Yale University Press.
Mae fy ngwaith ar hanes Tsiecoslofacia wedi denu sylw llywodraethau, diplomyddion a llunwyr polisi, gan gynnwys NATO.
Yn 2016 fe'i dewiswyd fel Astudiaeth Achos Effaith AHRC i Gymru.
Tsiecoslofacia: The State that Failed yn ymddangos mewn ysgrifenwyr rhyngwladol a gwyliau llyfrau, gan gynnwys Gŵyl Awduron Prague.
Cynhyrchwyd argraffiad Tsiec newydd gan Petrkov yn 2020 gyda chyflwyniad gan Brif Weinidog cyntaf Tsiec.
Yng Ngwanwyn 2021, roedd yn un o'r 10 llyfr a ddarllenwyd fwyaf yn y Weriniaeth Tsiec. http://maryheimann-ceskoslovensko.cz/
