Ymchwil
Mae gen i ddiddordeb hir mewn iechyd meddwl a lles.
Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gweithio yn Ysgol Gwyddorau Cymdeithas Prifysgol Caerdydd. Cyn hyn, roeddwn i'n gweithio yn y Ganolfan Treialon Clinigol (CTR). Mae prosiectau blaenorol CTR yn cynnwys: PEACH: Procalcitonin: Gwerthuso defnydd gwrthfiotig mewn cleifion ysbyty COVID-19; a'r astudiaeth RESPECT: gwerthusiad realaidd o ragnodi cymdeithasol gyda chredydau amser.
Roeddwn yn rhan o Crucible GW4 yn 2022 a datblygais brosiect ar y cyd â chydweithwyr yng Nghaerfaddon, Bryste a Chaerdydd i archwilio teimladau a meddyliau pobl awtistig ynghylch y damcaniaethau allweddol ar darddiad awtistiaeth.
Mae prosiectau eraill yn cynnwys ymchwilio i ansawdd bywyd mewn oedolion hŷn (rhan o IDEAL: Gwella Profiad Dementia a Gwella Bywyd Egnïol); y prosiect REACT (ymchwiliad i gydrannau gweithredol ymyrraeth triniaeth cartref arbenigol i atal derbyn cleifion â dementia mewn argyfwng yn yr ysbyty yn y gymuned); a'r astudiaeth gwneud penderfyniadau Nyrs (Gwneud penderfyniadau Nyrsys ynghylch darparu gofal croen i gleifion â chanser datblygedig ar ddiwedd oes).
Roeddwn i'n aelod allweddol o dîm ymchwil astudio WHELM y DU (Gwaith, Iechyd a Bywydau Emosiynol Bydwragedd (WHELM) ar gyfer y Deyrnas Unedig (DU)).
Archwiliodd fy PhD mewn niwrowyddoniaeth wybyddol y berthynas rhwng cwsg, breuddwydio a'r cof. Cefais gefnogaeth i'r theori bod gan freuddwydion swyddogaeth cydgrynhoi cof.
Yn fwy diweddar, rwyf wedi gweithio ar brosiectau ymchwil gyda chleifion â cholled cof sylweddol, e.e. yr astudiaethau IDEAL ac REACT, a gyda phobl awtistig am eu profiadau o les, e.e. y prosiect Dinasyddiaeth Awtistig.
Rwy'n gweithio'n bennaf mewn dulliau ansoddol. Rwy'n cynnal cyfweliadau ansoddol ac yn datblygu ffyrdd o weithio gyda dulliau creadigol.
