Trosolwyg
Mae ymchwil Kersty Hobson yn canolbwyntio ar faterion trawsnewid cymdeithasol ac amgylcheddol, yn enwedig ym meysydd cynhyrchu a defnyddio cynaliadwy, a llywodraethu amgylcheddol aml-lefel. Cyn symud i Brifysgol Caerdydd yn 2015, roedd ganddi swyddi academaidd ym Mhrifysgol Birmingham, Prifysgol Genedlaethol Awstralia, a Phrifysgol Rhydychen, lle mae ei hymchwil wedi archwilio arferion cynaliadwyedd y cartref; sefydliadau anllywodraethol amgylcheddol; daearyddiaeth anifeiliaid; yn ogystal â llywodraethu newid yn yr hinsawdd a thrafodaeth gyhoeddus. Mae ei hymchwil gyfredol yn canolbwyntio ar oblygiadau cymdeithasol-wleidyddol agenda economi gylchol a heriau iddynt.
