Trosolwg Gyrfa
Dechreuodd fy ngyrfa fel athro Siapaneaidd fel tiwtor sesiynol ar gyfer myfyrwyr cyfnewid ysgolion uwchradd ac mewn ysgolion iaith breifat yn Japan tra roeddwn yn gweithio i fy ngradd MA ym Mhrifysgol Waseda yn 2002 a 2003. Ar ôl yr MA, dysgais Siapan ym Mhrifysgol Lund yn Sweden rhwng 2004 a 2006. Yn ystod fy nghyfnod yn Sweden, datblygais ddiddordeb arbennig mewn dysgu iaith ymreolaethol y tu hwnt i'r ystafell ddosbarth, a arweiniodd at fy astudiaeth PhD ym Mhrifysgol Monash yn Awstralia. Ers hynny, rwyf wedi bod yn cynnal ymchwil ar y pwnc hwn, ac wedi defnyddio mewnwelediadau o fy ymchwil fy hun yn ogystal ag astudiaethau blaenorol yn y maes hwn i'm harferion addysgu.
Wrth weithio ar fy ymchwil PhD rhwng 2007 a 2011, dysgais wahanol fathau o ddosbarthiadau Japaneaidd o ddechreuwyr i lefelau uwch ym Mhrifysgol Monash. Cyn ymuno â Phrifysgol Caerdydd yn 2015, dychwelais i Brifysgol Lund a dysgu iaith Japaneaidd ac ieithyddiaeth/ieithyddiaeth gyffredinol Siapaneaidd fel darlithydd.
