Cyswllt Ymchwil - Ansoddol
- Ar gael fel goruchwyliwr ôl-raddedig
Trosolwyg
Rwy'n ymchwilydd ansoddol arbenigol yng Nghanolfan Ymchwil Treialon Prifysgol Caerdydd, gyda dros 17 mlynedd o brofiad yn y maes. Gyda chefndir cryf mewn cymdeithaseg feddygol, rwyf wedi datblygu a chymhwyso ystod eang o ddulliau ansoddol i hyrwyddo gwyddoniaeth gwella a gweithredu ym maes iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol.
Mae fy ymchwil yn dod at ei gilydd o gwmpas tair thema benodol.
- Gan dynnu ar fy arbenigedd helaeth mewn cymdeithaseg ac ethnograffeg, rwy'n astudio gweithrediad a defnydd technolegau gofal iechyd, gan asesu eu heffaith ar ddiogelwch cleifion ac ansawdd gofal.
- Datblygu dulliau cyfranogol arbenigol, yn y gymuned i archwilio profiadau iechyd a salwch cymunedau sydd heb eu gwasanaethu'n ddigonol, gan lunio ymyriadau sy'n anelu at leihau anghydraddoldebau iechyd.
- Hyrwyddo amrywiaeth a chynhwysiant mewn ymchwil drwy ffurfiau arloesol, cydweithredol o ymwneud cleifion a'r cyhoedd, lle caiff unigolion eu trin fel partneriaid arbenigol mewn ymchwil a datblygu ymyrraeth.
Mae gen i ddiddordeb hir ym meysydd hunanladdiad a hunan-niweidio, gyda ffocws ar y rôl y gall teuluoedd ei chwarae mewn gwyddoniaeth welliant. Rwyf hefyd yn angerddol am archwilio sut y gall perthnasoedd cymdeithasol wella iechyd y cyhoedd drwy ddatblygu a gwerthuso ymyriadau sydd wedi'u hanelu at wella iechyd.
