Trosolwyg
Fy mhrif ddiddordebau ymchwil yw nodi a deall ffactorau sy'n cefnogi datblygiad plant. Mae gen i ddiddordeb hefyd mewn gwahaniaethau prosesu synhwyraidd a phrofiadau synhwyraidd a'u heffaith ar ddatblygiad plant. Ar hyn o bryd rwy'n gweithio yn y Labordy Data Addysg yn Sefydliad Ymchwil a Data Cymdeithasol ac Economaidd Cymru (WISERD) ac Ymchwil Data Gweinyddol (ADR) Cymru. Yn fy ymchwil, rwy'n defnyddio data gweinyddol a data arolwg ar raddfa fawr i ddeall addysg plant ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol.
Cyn hynny, gweithiais fel Cydymaith Ymchwil yn Ysgol y Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd a'r Ysgol Seicoleg ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Yn y rôl hon, gweithiais ar brosiectau ymchwil gyda ffocws ar hyblygrwydd gwybyddol, anhwylder cydlynu datblygiadol, a manteision chwarae ar gyfer datblygiad cymdeithasol ac emosiynol. Rwy'n defnyddio amrywiaeth o ddulliau ymchwil gan gynnwys cysylltiad data, asesiadau ymddygiadol, adroddiadau rhoddwyr, electroenceffalograffeg (EEG), a sbectrosgopeg bron â ffwythiant swyddogaethol (fNIRS).

Prosiectau blaenorol:
Cydgysylltu, Symud, a'r Astudiaeth Ymennydd (CoMB): Gwnaeth astudiaeth CoMB ymchwilio i gydberthynas niwral Anhwylder Cydlynu Datblygiadol (DCD). Yn benodol, defnyddiais electroenceffalograffeg (EEG) i archwilio gweithgarwch system niwronau drych mewn plant â DCD.
Manteision chwarae doliau: Cydlynais dri phecyn gwaith sy'n ymchwilio i effaith chwarae doliau ar draws nifer o feysydd gan gynnwys empathi, sgiliau cymdeithasol ac iaith. Roedd y prosiect hwn yn cynnwys defnyddio sbectrosgopeg swyddogaethol sydd bron â chael ei ffrwythloni, asesiadau ymddygiadol, adroddiadau rhoddwyr gofal, a mesurau arsylwi mewn plant niwro-nodweddiadol a phlant â nodweddion awtistig.
Rôl hyblygrwydd gwybyddol mewn ymddygiad ailadroddus plant: Archwiliodd yr astudiaeth hon rôl is-fathau o hyblygrwydd gwybyddol (hyblygrwydd symud a chynrychioliadol set) ar ymddygiadau ailadroddus plant. Ystyriais hefyd rôl gallu ieithyddol ac iechyd meddwl plant. Roedd hyn yn cynnwys dadansoddi set ddata fawr o blant ag anawsterau cymdeithasol, gwybyddol ac ymddygiadol gan yr Uned Asesu Niwroddatblygiadol (NDAU).
