- Aelod o Ganolfan Peirianneg Glyfar BIM yn Ysgol Peirianneg Caerdydd, dan arweiniad yr Athro Haijiang Li.
Enillodd Ali ei PhD o Brifysgol Caerdydd, lle mae'n cyfuno sylfaen academaidd gref gydag arbenigedd ymarferol i hyrwyddo peirianneg gyfrifiadurol glyfar. Mae ei waith yn canolbwyntio ar gefnogi data peirianneg ar raddfa fawr, gwybodaeth a phrosesu gwybodaeth, yn ogystal â galluogi gwneud penderfyniadau cyfannol yn yr amgylchedd adeiledig. Roedd ei ymchwil doethurol yn canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu fframwaith cyfnewid data OpenBIM awtomatig sy'n seiliedig ar wybodaeth i gefnogi dylunio adeiladau cyfannol ac integredig. Mae gan Ali hefyd radd Meistr mewn Peirianneg Strwythurol o Brifysgol Caerdydd a gradd Baglor mewn Peirianneg Sifil ac Amgylcheddol o Brifysgol Arabaidd Beirut.
Fel ymchwilydd cyhoeddedig, mae Ali wedi ysgrifennu erthyglau mewn cyfnodolion blaenllaw fel y Journal of Automation in Construction a'r Journal of Building Engineering. Mae ei gyfraniadau ymchwil yn rhychwantu fframweithiau OpenBIM, Digital Twins, a chynaliadwyedd mewn peirianneg, gan ei sefydlu fel arweinydd meddwl yn ei faes.
Mae Ali hefyd yn ymwneud yn weithredol â datblygu safonau OpenBIM, gan gynnwys IFC (Dosbarthiadau Sylfaen y Diwydiant) ar gyfer peirianneg twnnel ymgolli fel rhan o buildingSMART®. Mae ganddo ardystiadau yn safonau BIM ISO 19650, gyda ffocws cryf ar hyrwyddo arferion gorau mewn adeiladu digidol a chreu atebion arloesol a chynaliadwy i'r amgylchedd adeiledig.
