Rwy'n ysgolhaig Eingl-Sbaenaidd, ac yn Gymrawd Ymchwil doethurol, yn gweithio o dan oruchwyliaeth yr Athro L. Totelin, yn Ysgol y Dyniaethau Byd-eang. Mae fy mhrosiect ymchwil cyfredol, o'r enw 'Literature as Pharmakon: A Narratological Approach to Medical Writings', yn canolbwyntio ar archwilio rôl adrodd straeon mewn iechyd a chof diwylliannol. Mae fy ymagwedd rhyngddisgyblaethol yn cysylltu mewnwelediadau llenyddol ac archaeolegol i hyrwyddo dealltwriaeth o'r gorffennol. Mae fy mhrif ddiddordebau ymchwil yn cynnwys Llenyddiaeth Groeg Hynafol ac archaeoleg maes y gad (e.e. Dara, Twrci). Roedd fy ymchwil flaenorol, fel Cydweithiwr mewn Ieithyddiaeth Glasurol (Prifysgol Barcelona), yn archwilio Procopius y Cesaraidd, gwrthdaro Rhufeinig y chweched ganrif, gwleidyddiaeth rhywedd, a chlasuriaeth. Rwyf wedi cyhoeddi'n helaeth, gan olygu Procopius o Cesarea (Routledge). Rwy'n cymryd rhan mewn cynadleddau ac adolygu cymheiriaid. Gwnïais fy BA mewn Hanes a Hanes yr Henfyd ym Mhrifysgol Cymru, Abertawe, a fy MSt. mewn Astudiaethau Hynadwy ym Mhrifysgol Rhydychen.

Addysgu
Rwy'n canolbwyntio ar fy Gymrawd ymchwil doethurol, o dan oruchwyliaeth yr Athro L. Totelin, yn Ysgol y Dyniaethau Byd-eang.
Mae fy mhrosiect ymchwil cyfredol, o'r enw 'Literature as Pharmakon: A Narratological Approach to Medical Writings', yn canolbwyntio ar archwilio rôl adrodd straeon mewn iechyd a chof diwylliannol. Bywgraffiad
Gadawais yr ysgol yn 16 oed i weithio mewn banc ond roedd darllen Hanes yr Henfyd, yn enwedig Procopius o Cesaria, yn llawer mwy diddorol ac cefais fy derbyn i ddarllen BA mewn Hanes a Hanes Hynafol yn Abertawe. Ar ôl graddio, symudais i Barcelona lle dysgais Saesneg (yn rhannol ym Mhrifysgol Barcelona a'r Cyngor Prydeinig) a dysgu Catalaneg, yna Sbaeneg. Ar ôl 'ffwrdd' gydag addysg farchnata, dychwelais i Gymru lle ymgymerais â TAR mewn Addysg Bellach yng Nghaerdydd, a arweiniodd at fy addysgu Hanes a Sbaeneg ym Mhrifysgol Swydd Stafford a Saesneg yn y British Council yn Napoli. Aeth 'fling' arall gydag addysg farchnata â mi i Lundain ond manteisiais ar y cyfle i ddysgu Saesneg i fyfyrwyr rhyngwladol ym Mhrifysgol Reading a Hanes gyda Chlasuron yn y chweched dosbarth gerllaw. Fe wnes i barhau i ddysgu Hanes a Chlasuron a dechrau ymchwilio, cyflwyno mewn cynadleddau a chyhoeddi. Arweiniodd hyn at gwblhau MSt. ym Mhrifysgol Rhydychen, ac ar ôl hynny parhais gyda fy ymchwil academaidd a chyhoeddiadau (yn bennaf ar Procopius) tra'n dysgu Clasuron yn bennaf, a rhywfaint o Hanes. Yna dychwelais i Brifysgol Barcelona i ddysgu Saesneg i athrawon uchelgeisiol, tra'n parhau â'm hymchwil. Roedd y cyfle i ddychwelyd i Gaerdydd yn anorchfygol.
