Rwy'n ymchwilydd ôl-ddoethurol yn Ysgol Feddygaeth Prifysgol Caerdydd , lle rwy'n ymchwilio i'r mecanweithiau moleciwlaidd sy'n gyrru dilyniant tiwmor i hwyluso datblygiad therapïau wedi'u targedu. Mae fy ymchwil yn pontio'r bwlch rhwng bioleg canser sylfaenol a chymhwysiad clinigol, gan ganolbwyntio ar sut mae rhwydweithiau protein cymhleth yn rheoleiddio goroesiad a lledaeniad celloedd canser.
Mae fy ymchwil gyfredol yn ymchwilio i rolau mecanyddol cymhleth signalau STRIPAK a chludwyr mewngellog mewn canserau solet. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig yn sut mae'r llwybrau hyn yn modiwleiddio autophagy a heneiddio cellog—prosesau sylfaenol sy'n gyrru dilyniant tiwmor, rheoleiddio ymatebion cyffuriau, a chynnal uniondeb rhwystr celloedd.
Trwy integreiddio technegau moleciwlaidd uwch gyda strategaethau cyfieithu, rwy'n anelu at ddatgelu gwendidau therapiwtig y gellir eu manteisio i wella canlyniadau cleifion canser. Ochr yn ochr â'm hymchwil, rwy'n Gymrawd Cyswllt yr Academi Addysg Uwch (AFHEA) ac yn ymgeisydd FHEA, ac rwy'n ymrwymedig i fentora academaidd a meithrin cydweithrediadau ymchwil rhyngwladol.
