Mae Mike yn academydd sy'n arbenigo mewn astudio moeseg busnes a rôl y deallusyn cyhoeddus yn y brifysgol fodern. Yn ddiweddarach mae wedi canolbwyntio ar foeseg busnes (un), sef, yr economi a drefnir gan droseddau. Mae gan Mike ddiddordeb arbennig mewn archwilio'r mecanweithiau sy'n caniatáu i sefydliadau troseddol gronni cyfoeth a rhoi dylanwad yn yr economi gyfreithiol. Mae ei ymchwil yn archwilio sut mae grwpiau troseddau cyfundrefnol yn manteisio ar wendidau mewn fframweithiau cyfreithiol a rheoleiddiol, a rôl globaleiddio wrth hwyluso gweithgarwch troseddol trawswladol.
Yn fwy diweddar mae wedi ystyried rôl gwyddonwyr cymdeithasol wrth ymchwilio cyfoeth a'r cyfoethog.
Mae ei gefndir academaidd yn cynnwys gradd Baglor mewn Cymdeithaseg, a PhD mewn moeseg busnes. Mae ganddo hefyd Docent mewn Gweinyddu Busnes (eq. o HDR neu Habilitation neu Ddoethuriaeth Uwch) o Brifysgol Stockholm, lle mae ganddo swydd ymchwil/addysgu ymweld.
Mae ei ysgrifau yn adlewyrchu'r ffocws ymchwil hwn ar foeseg busnes a moeseg busnes (un)moeseg. Cyhoeddwyd ymchwil mewn cyfnodolion academaidd a'u cyflwyno mewn cynadleddau cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol. Mae hefyd wedi cyhoeddi'n helaeth mewn cyhoeddiadau newyddion / proffesiynol (y Times Higher, The Conversation, Campus Review, the New Statesmen, ar wahanol bynciau o ddiddordeb o wyngalchu arian, a llifoedd ariannol anghyfreithlon i rôl y dealluswr cyhoeddus yn y brifysgol fodern a natur bywyd academaidd – mae modd cael gafael ar ei erthyglau ar gyfer y Times Higher yma neu'r rhai ar gyfer y Sgwrs y gellir ei chyrchu yma.)

Mae ei ymchwil gyfredol yn canolbwyntio ar groestoriad moeseg a throsedd busnes, yn enwedig mewn perthynas â chasglu cyfoeth trwy arferion anfoesegol.
Mae ei ddiddordebau ymchwil yn ymwneud â'r cyfyng-gyngor moesegol a'r heriau sy'n wynebu busnesau sy'n gweithredu mewn economi fyd-eang. Mae ganddo ddiddordeb arbennig mewn archwilio'r mecanweithiau sy'n caniatáu i unigolion a chorfforaethau gronni cyfoeth trwy ddulliau anfoesegol, gan gynnwys twyll, llygredd a throseddau ariannol. Mae ei ymchwil yn archwilio goblygiadau moesegol arferion o'r fath a'r effaith ar gymdeithas a'r economi.
Mae cyhoeddiadau Mike yn adlewyrchu ffocws ar foeseg busnes, trosedd a chyfoeth. Mae wedi cyhoeddi ar bynciau fel cyfrifoldeb cymdeithasol corfforaethol, troseddau coler wen, ac arweinyddiaeth foesegol. Cyhoeddwyd ei ymchwil mewn cyfnodolion academaidd (inter alia: Public Administration, Human Relations, Sociology, Political Studies, Work, Employment and Society, Journal of Management Studies) a'i gyflwyno mewn cynadleddau cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol.
Mae Mike hefyd wedi ymrwymo i rôl gyhoeddus yr academydd ac i ysgrifennu ar gyfer darllenwyr cyffredinol. Yma mae wedi ysgrifennu'r erthygl achlysurol ar gyfer allfeydd newyddiadurol fel y Times Higher Education, The Times Educational Supplement, The Guardian, the New Statesman ond hefyd allfeydd rhyngwladol fel y Campus Review a The Chronicle of Higher Education.
