Ymchwil
Diddordebau ymchwil
Fy niddordeb ymchwil yw llwch a moleciwlau mewn sêr esblygedig ac uwchnofa, gyda ffocws ar sut a faint o lwch a moleciwlau sy'n cael eu ffurfio yn y sêr hyn, a beth yw eu cyfraniad at gyllidebau llwch byd-eang cyfrwng rhyngserol galaethau. Yn ddiweddar, canfu ein sylwadau gydag Arsyllfa Ofod Herschel màs sylweddol (~ hanner màs solar) o lwch yn uwchnofa 1987A. Ar ben hynny, gwelsom hefyd moleciwlau oer (<120K) o'r uwchnofa hon. Ar hyn o bryd, rwy'n ymchwilio i sut mae'r llwch a'r moleciwlau wedi'u ffurfio mewn uwchnofâu, trwy ddefnyddio Herschel, ALMA, SOFIA, VLT a JWST.
