Dr Marina Morani
Darlithydd (Addysgu ac Ymchwil)
Ysgol Newyddiaduraeth, y Cyfryngau a Diwylliant
- Ar gael fel goruchwyliwr ôl-raddedig
Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Ddarlithydd (Addysgu ac Ymchwil) yn Ysgol Newyddiaduraeth, y Cyfryngau a Diwylliant Caerdydd, yn addysgu ar draws y rhaglenni BA ac MA.
Yn fy ymchwil a'm haddysgu, rwy'n ymdrechu i sefydlu cysylltiad cynhyrchiol rhwng astudiaethau newyddiaduraeth, astudiaethau'r cyfryngau, astudiaethau diwylliannol ac astudiaethau ôl-drefedigaethol. Dros y blynyddoedd, rwyf wedi ymchwilio ac addysgu ystod eang o feysydd pwnc, gan gynnwys cynrychiolaeth y cyfryngau o argyfyngau byd-eang (mudo / dadleoli/argyfyngau iechyd cyhoeddus), adrodd etholiadol mewn newyddiaduraeth ddarlledu, dad-wybodaeth / camwybodaeth a gwirio ffeithiau, theori a dadleuon ar aml-ddiwylliannaeth, cynrychioliadau lleiafrifoedd ethnig / dinasyddion ethnig, trafodaethau eiriolaeth hawliau dinasyddiaeth, a cyfryngau amgen.
Rwy'n cynnal PhD mewn Newyddiaduraeth o Brifysgol Caerdydd. Canolbwyntiodd fy ymchwil doethurol ar gyfryngau amgen a sefydlwyd gan ymarferwyr o gefndir lleiafrifoedd ethnig i adennill gofodau cynhwysol ac amrywiol o gynrychiolaeth a chynhyrchu cyfryngau yn yr Eidal ers dechrau'r 2000au. Mae'r astudiaeth yn defnyddio dadansoddiad beirniadol dull cymysg hydredol o'r cyfleoedd discursive yn ogystal â chyfyngiadau cynhyrchu mannau ac arferion cyfryngau amgen. Mae'r dulliau yn cynnwys mapio meintiol, CDA, dadansoddiad amlfoddol a chyfweliadau lled-strwythuredig gyda golygyddion a phractictioners.
Mae gen i brofiad helaeth o ymchwil yn y cyfryngau, ar ôl gweithio fel Cydymaith Ymchwil/Cynorthwy-ydd ar sawl prosiect a ddyfarnwyd i Ysgol Newyddiaduraeth Caerdydd ac a gomisiynwyd gan wahanol sefydliadau gan gynnwys Ymddiriedolaeth y BBC, Ofcom ac UNHCR. Fel rhan o'r prosiectau hyn, ymchwiliais i adroddiadau etholiadol, meysydd polisi datganoledig y DU ac adrodd 'argyfwng ffoaduriaid' mewn perthynas â materion cywirdeb, gwerth gwybodaeth, didueddrwydd a chydbwysedd.
Rhwng 2020-2022 gweithiais fel Cydymaith Ymchwil ar y prosiect ymchwil dwy flynedd a ariannwyd gan AHRC "Gwrthsefyll twyllwybodaeth: gwella cyfreithlondeb newyddiadurol yn y cyfryngau gwasanaeth cyhoeddus sy'n ymchwilio i gynhyrchu, allbwn a derbyn adroddiadau dad-wybodaeth/camwybodaeth.
Rhwng mis Mehefin-Gorffennaf 2023 cefais gyllid mewnol fel Prif Ymchwilydd i ddylunio astudiaeth chwe wythnos a goruchwylio myfyriwr ymchwilydd ar y prosiect: Adrodd ar Fil Mudo Anghyfreithlon y DU a throseddu symudedd dynol a dadleoli. Dadansoddiad cynnwys o fwletinau newyddion teledu.

Ymchwil
Rwyf wedi gwneud ymchwil yn y meysydd canlynol:
- Adrodd 'argyfwng' byd-eang (gan gynnwys ymfudo / dadleoli / iechyd y cyhoedd)
- cystrawennau discursive o hunaniaeth genedlaethol / diwylliannol / lleiafrifoedd ethnig / dinasyddiaeth
- Darlledu Gwasanaeth Cyhoeddus y Deyrnas Unedig
- Diffyg gwybodaeth / cam-wybodaeth a gwirio ffeithiau
- Adrodd etholiadau
- Cyfryngau amgen
- Gweithredaeth hawliau dinasyddiaeth
- Aml-ddiwylliannedd (damcaniaethau a dadleuon)

Teitl y prosiect: Gwrthweithio twyllwybodaeth: gwella cyfreithlondeb newyddiadurol yn y cyfryngau gwasanaeth cyhoeddus
Cydymaith Ymchwil ar y prosiect ymchwil a ariennir gan AHRC (2020-2022) sy'n ymchwilio i gynhyrchu, allbwn a derbyn adroddiadau twyllwybodaeth dan arweiniad yr Athro Stephen Cushion a Dr Maria Kyriakidou yn yr Ysgol Newyddiaduraeth, y Cyfryngau a Diwylliant.
Nod yr astudiaeth oedd dod o hyd i atebion golygyddol i atal twyllwybodaeth mewn adroddiadau etholiad, trefn a phandemigau, gan nodi'r ffyrdd y gellir gwella dilysrwydd newyddiaduraeth yn ôl defnyddwyr newyddion. Mewn cydweithrediad â chyfryngau gwasanaeth cyhoeddus blaenllaw (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 a Channel 5) a sefydliad newyddion masnachol (Sky News), y prosiect fydd yr astudiaeth gymharol fwyaf manwl yn y DU o'i math. Fel rhan o'm rôl fel Cydymaith Ymchwil, arweiniais ddyluniad dadansoddiadau systematig o gynnwys systematig o allbwn newyddion darlledu ac ar-lein ochr yn ochr â chynnal ymchwil cynulleidfa helaeth gan gynnwys grwpiau ffocws ac arolygon.

- Teitl traethawd ymchwil doethurol: 'Eidalwyr Newydd' a'r cyfryngau digidol: archwiliad o lwyfannau cyfryngau rhyngddiwylliannol
Mae'r astudiaeth yn archwilio'n feirniadol ffurf o gyfryngau amgen sy'n datblygu yn yr Eidal o ddechrau'r 2000au a arbrofodd gydag arferion cyfryngau a sgyrsiau mwy cynhwysol a lluosogaidd ynghylch dinasyddiaeth, hunaniaeth genedlaethol a pherthyn. Drwy gyfuno mapio meintiol o'r dirwedd cyfryngau amgen gyda dadansoddiad disgwrs beirniadol amlfoddol manwl o gynnwys cyfryngau digidol ac astudiaeth gynhyrchu, mae'r gwaith yn archwilio'n feirniadol ecoleg cyfryngau newyddion cyfoes sy'n esblygu'n gyflym, wedi'u dylanwadu'n gynyddol gan arferion digidol, ymgysylltu â dinasyddion a galwadau am newid tuag at fannau cyfryngau mwy cyfartal, cynhwysol ac amrywiol.
