Viviana Iris Novelli, Athro Cyswllt (Uwch Ddarlithydd) mewn Peirianneg Sifil ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Mae gennyf PhD mewn Peirianneg Daeargryn o Goleg Prifysgol Llundain (UCL), ac mae gen i gefndir helaeth mewn diwydiant a'r byd academaidd. Mae fy ngyrfa yn ymroddedig i hyrwyddo offer cymorth penderfyniadau aml-risg gyda'r nod o leihau colledion dynol a lleihau aflonyddwch economaidd-gymdeithasol, yn enwedig mewn gwledydd Cymorth Datblygu Swyddogol (ODA).
Fy niddordeb
Mae fy ymchwil yn ei hanfod yn rhyngwladol ac yn amlddisgyblaethol, gan ganolbwyntio ar ddatblygu fframweithiau Lleihau Risg Trychinebau (DRR) ar gyfer aml-beryglon fel daeargrynfeydd, llifogydd a thirlithriadau, gan fynd i'r afael ag effeithiau'r peryglon naturiol hyn ar strwythurau ac isadeileddau. Mae fy ngwaith yn cynnwys asesu risgiau presennol ac yn y dyfodol drwy ddatblygu dulliau y gall rhanddeiliaid eu defnyddio, a darparu cymorth gwneud penderfyniadau ar draws sawl cam trychineb.
Fy ymchwil
Fel y Prif Ymchwilydd ar sawl prosiect proffil uchel a ariennir gan EPSRC a NERC, rwy'n arwain mentrau gyda'r nod o wella gwytnwch a chynaliadwyedd strwythurau a seilwaith yn wyneb senarios aml-risg a newid yn yr hinsawdd. Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu offer a strategaethau cymorth penderfyniadau datblygedig i fynd i'r afael â'r heriau cymhleth a ddaw yn sgil peryglon naturiol.
Amcanion Ymchwil Allweddol:

Creu Fframwaith DRR Cynhwysfawr: Rwy'n gweithio i ddatblygu fframwaith integredig Lleihau Risg Trychinebau (DRR) sy'n mynd i'r afael ag ystod eang o beryglon, gan gynnwys daeargrynfeydd, llifogydd a thirlithriadau. Nod y fframwaith hwn yw darparu dull cydlynol o reoli'r risgiau hyn, gan ystyried eu rhyngweithio a'u heffeithiau rhaeadru. Y nod yw sicrhau bod seilwaith a chymunedau wedi'u paratoi'n well ar gyfer ac yn gallu ymateb yn fwy effeithiol i'r peryglon amrywiol hyn.

Cryfhau Gwydnwch a Chynaliadwyedd: Mae fy mhrosiectau'n canolbwyntio ar wella gwytnwch a chynaliadwyedd strwythurau a seilwaith newydd a phresennol. Mae hyn yn cynnwys gwerthuso gwendidau presennol a datblygu atebion arloesol i liniaru risgiau. Mae'r ymchwil yn ymgorffori strategaethau addasu newid hinsawdd i sicrhau bod seilwaith yn parhau i fod yn effeithiol ac yn wydn yn wyneb amodau amgylcheddol sy'n esblygu.

Datblygu Dulliau Cymorth Penderfyniadau: Mae agwedd sylweddol ar fy ngwaith yn cynnwys creu a mireinio offer sy'n cefnogi gwneud penderfyniadau ar gyfer rhanddeiliaid sy'n ymwneud â rheoli trychinebau. Mae'r offer hyn wedi'u cynllunio i helpu rhanddeiliaid i wneud penderfyniadau gwybodus drwy gydol pob cam o reoli trychinebau, o barodrwydd ac ymateb i adferiad a lliniaru.

3) dadansoddiad cyfrifiadurol uwch ar gyfer atebion strwythurol i gefnogi cynnal a chadw, atgyweirio, ôl-osod ac ailddefnyddio adeiladau hanesyddol, a
4) gweithredu asesiad cylch bywyd i ddynodi perfformiad amgylcheddol systemau strwythurol yn ddilys.
