Trosolwyg
Rwy'n Gydymaith Ymchwil yn y pecyn gwaith sgrinio canser, atal a diagnosis cynnar fel rhan o Ganolfan PRIME Cymru, Is-adran Meddygaeth Boblogaeth. Fel Anthropolegydd Meddygol mae gen i ddiddordeb mewn pam a sut mae pobl yn gwneud ac nid ydynt yn ymgysylltu â sgrinio canser, ymddygiadau ceisio cymorth ac atal symptomatig sy'n effeithio ar amser i gael diagnosis. Mae gennyf ddiddordeb arbennig mewn ymchwil gwyddor ymddygiad yn y maes hwn ac mewn gwerthuso prosesau o dreialon ymyriadau newid ymddygiad cymhleth sy'n archwilio cyffredinolrwydd canfyddiadau a deall rôl cyd-destun mewn effeithiolrwydd ymyrraeth. Mae fy holl waith yn canolbwyntio'n gryf ar degwch iechyd, a rhyngblethiad penderfynyddion sylfaenol iechyd a rhyngweithiadau cymhleth hunaniaethau cymdeithasol a hunaniaethau eraill ar gyfer grwpiau sydd heb gynrychiolaeth ddigonol a risg uchel.
Mae fy ymchwil cyfredol yn canolbwyntio ar brofion Canfod Cynnar Aml-Ganser (MCED) a sut y gellid defnyddio gweithredu technolegau MCED i leihau gwahaniaethau iechyd a hyrwyddo tegwch iechyd. Yn ddiweddar, rwyf wedi derbyn cyllid PI yn yr ardal (Gwobr Canfod Cynnar CRUK a Diagnosis Primer, Awst 2024 - Gorffennaf 2025) ac rwy'n aelod gwadd o Weithgor Ecwiti Iechyd Consortiwm MCED.
