Rwy'n Uwch-ddarlithydd mewn Ffiseg Arbrofol yn yr Ysgol Ffiseg a Seryddiaeth ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Mae fy arbenigedd ym meysydd gwyddoniaeth a thechnoleg nanoraddfa (yn enwedig magnetedd nanoraddfa).
Yn ogystal â cheisio gwella ein dealltwriaeth o ffiseg sylfaenol sy'n ymwneud â magnetedd, rwyf hefyd yn edrych i wella neu ddisodli technolegau storio data cyfredol megis gyriannau disg galed. Mae gen i ddiddordeb mawr hefyd mewn defnyddio synwyryddion magnetig ar gyfer amrywiaeth o gymwysiadau. Mae gen i fwy na 15 mlynedd o brofiad mewn magnetedd a deunyddiau magnetig.

Ymchwil
Mae fy ngwaith ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar wyddoniaeth a thechnoleg ar raddfa nano (yn enwedig magnetedd nanoraddfa) a'i nod yw deall ffiseg sylfaenol, gwella technolegau storio data a datblygu synwyryddion magnetig newydd.
Yn fras, mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn ymwneud â magnetedd a spintronics. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig mewn astudio deunyddiau magnetig nanoscale swyddogaethol newydd a diddorol ar gyfer cymwysiadau technolegol.
Yn fwyaf diweddar, rwyf wedi gweithio ar astudio effeithiau patrymau deunyddiau magnetig ar y raddfa nano ac ymchwilio i sut mae newidiadau mewn siâp, cyfansoddiad cemegol a strwythur yn effeithio ar eu heiddo. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig mewn astudio'r systemau hyn er mwyn gwella eu cymhwysiad ar gyfer technolegau storio data yn y dyfodol, ond mae gen i ddiddordeb hefyd yn eu defnyddioldeb fel synwyryddion magnetig (ymhlith pethau eraill).

Ymunais â staff academaidd Prifysgol Caerdydd fel uwch-ddarlithydd ar ddiwedd 2011.
Cyn symud i Gaerdydd, treuliais sawl blwyddyn fel cymrawd ymchwil yng Ngholeg Imperial Llundain yn gweithio ar amrywiaeth o brosiectau yn ymwneud â magnetedd a spintronics ar raddfa nano.
Cyn fy swydd yn Llundain, gweithiais fel cydymaith ymchwil ôl-ddoethurol ym Mhrifysgol Talaith Florida. Roedd fy ngwaith yn FSU yn ymwneud yn bennaf â thwf deunyddiau magnetig a thechnegau patrymu nanoraddfa ar gyfer cymwysiadau spintronics.
