Ymchwil
Roedd fy PhD cyntaf yn archwiliad ansoddol o ymarfer sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth gan ddefnyddio dyluniad astudiaeth achos. Canolbwyntiodd fy nhraethawd ymchwil ar y ffyrdd y mae therapyddion yn adeiladu eu sylfaen wybodaeth a sut mae hyn, yn ei dro, yn dylanwadu ar eu hymarfer. Yn dilyn hyn, rwyf wedi datblygu prosiectau ymchwil sy'n edrych ar wahanol agweddau ar ofal iechyd, yn benodol ynghylch trefnu gwasanaethau. Mae hyn yn cynnwys gweithredu fel pennaeth a chyd-ymchwilydd ar yr astudiaethau canlynol a ariennir: ymchwilio i effeithiolrwydd rhaglen adsefydlu galwedigaethol; datblygu mesur canlyniadau ar gyfer defnyddwyr gwasanaethau iechyd meddwl; gwerthuso gwasanaeth iechyd meddwl; ymchwilio i ffocws unigryw a datblygiad elusen canser yn y dyfodol. Roedd fy ail PhD mewn Saesneg/Ysgrifennu Creadigol yn archwilio gofod a lle mewn nofelau ysbrydion cyfoes. O fewn hyn, fe wnes i archwilio'r cysyniad o haunting yn nhermau ffuglen a'n bywydau bob dydd.
Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig yn y celfyddydau a sut mae'r rhain yn cyfrannu at wella iechyd a lles. - 2006-2008 (Swyddog ymchwil) Rheoli galw - astudiaeth gymharol, aml-ddull o ganolfannau rheoli atgyfeirio: gwerthusiad o dair system gymharol o atgyfeirio meddygon teulu at ofal eilaidd gan ddefnyddio cyfweliadau, arsylwi a dadansoddi data arferol. Wedi'i ariannu gan AWARD.
- 2003-2006 (Myfyriwr PhD) Ail-ffurfweddu Ymarfer Seiliedig ar Dystiolaeth i'w ddefnyddio gan Therapyddion Galwedigaethol. Wedi'i ariannu gan yr Ysgol Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd, Prifysgol Caerdydd.
Addysgu
Mae gen i Dystysgrif Ôl-raddedig mewn Dysgu ac Addysgu Prifysgol ac rwy'n addysgu ar draws yr ystod o raglenni therapi galwedigaethol yn yr Ysgol Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd. Rwyf hefyd yn goruchwylio myfyrwyr PhD ac yn cyd-reoli'r rhaglen MSc Therapi Galwedigaethol (ôl-gofrestru).
Bywgraffiad
Ar ôl astudio ar gyfer graddau mewn diwinyddiaeth a therapi galwedigaethol, gweithiais fel therapydd galwedigaethol mewn adsefydlu orthopedig. Yn 2003 ymgymerais â diploma ôl-raddedig mewn dulliau ymchwil gwyddorau cymdeithasol a dechreuais PhD mewn Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Roedd fy nhraethawd doethurol yn ymchwiliad i'r cysyniad o ymarfer seiliedig ar dystiolaeth mewn lleoliad therapi galwedigaethol. Yn 2025 cwblheais ail PhD mewn Saesneg/Ysgrifennu Creadigol ym Mhrifysgol De Cymru gan ganolbwyntio ar ddarluniau o ofod a lle mewn nofelau ysbrydion cyfoes.
Dechreuais fy swydd addysgu bresennol yn yr Ysgol Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd ym mis Mawrth 2008 ar ôl gweithio fel swyddog ymchwil yn yr Ysgol Feddygaeth. Rwy'n addysgu ar gyrsiau lefel BSc ac MSc ac yn ymgymryd ag ystod o weithgareddau ymchwil gan gynnwys goruchwylio myfyrwyr ymchwil ôl-raddedig. Mae gen i ddiddordeb arbennig yn y celfyddydau ac iechyd.
