Mae fy PhD a'm diddordebau cysylltiedig yn cynnwys anthropoleg gwneud gofal, yn enwedig mewn lleoliadau meddygol. Roedd fy PhD yn archwilio cytser myth, hil a gofal wrth i'r rhain gael eu gwireddu mewn dewisiadau geni menywod dosbarth canol.
Ochr yn ochr â gwaith maes anthropolegol, rwyf wedi cwblhau dwy astudiaeth ymchwil yn yr ysbyty ar ofal lliniarol a chynllunio gofal ymlaen llaw, ac yn ddiweddar rwyf wedi gweithio gyda setiau data HFEA i ddatblygu meddwl a themâu sy'n canolbwyntio ar ddewisiadau menywod o ran ffrwythlondeb, newidiadau ffrwythlondeb, arferion a llwybrau. Rwyf wedi defnyddio'r sgiliau hyn dros 10 mlynedd i addysgu israddedigion a graddedigion anthropoleg yn ogystal â mentora ymchwilwyr iau mewn arferion a heriau gwaith maes, theori afaelgar a lle anthropoleg mewn trafodaeth gyfoes. Rwyf wedi cwblhau cymrodoriaeth ymchwil ôl-ddoethurol yng Ngholeg y Brenin Llundain ac ar hyn o bryd rwy'n darlithio ym Mhrifysgol Plymouth. Rwy'n gydymaith ymchwil yng Nghanolfan Ymchwil Marie Curie, gan archwilio llythrennedd marwolaeth.

Cyrsiau a addysgir a thiwtora
· Goruchwylio israddedigion a myfyrwyr Meistr 2020 – presennol
· Cymdeithasau mewn Pontio 2016: Dyluniais gwrs ar gyfer myfyrwyr graddedig a fyddai'n eu galluogi i ddysgu hanes anthropoleg ac ymgysylltu'n feirniadol ag ac archwilio dadleuon allweddol ar anthropoleg gyfoes. Tynnodd y cwrs ar ysgolheictod ethnograffig y gorffennol, gweithiau ffuglen Affricanaidd gyfoes a dadleuon anthropolegol cyfredol yn ne Affrica er mwyn aflonyddu ymhellach, ond tir ysgolheigaidd cystadleuol: Anthropoleg yn ne Affrica a'i sgyrsiau ag ysgolheictod byd-eang. Dyluniwyd y cwrs o amgylch themâu wythnosol sy'n hanesyddol arwyddocaol ac yn fyw mewn dadleuon cyfoes. Fe wnes i gyd-addysgu'r cwrs hwn, gan hwyluso darlithoedd wythnosol ar ffurf seminar i fyfyrwyr graddedig. Cyfarfûm yn rheolaidd â myfyrwyr ar sail un-i-un, gan eu tywys i ysgrifennu a chreu dadleuon. Fe wnes i farcio a chynnig adborth helaeth ar draethodau. Yn gallu gweithio'n dda gyda darlithwyr eraill wrth i'r cwrs gael ei gyd-addysgu.
· Dulliau ymchwil 2014, 2015, 2016: Fe wnes i fentora myfyrwyr graddedig am 3 blynedd a marcio eu gwaith, gan gynnig sylwebaeth ac adborth helaeth mewn ymarferion dulliau ymchwil a thraethodau.
· Anthropoleg feddygol 2010, 2011, 2014: 15-20 o fyfyrwyr israddedig (gan gynnwys myfyrwyr cyn-feddygol) am 3 semester, gan archwilio'r ffyrdd y mae anthropolegwyr yn archwilio ac yn datblygu dealltwriaeth o'r ffyrdd y mae pobl yn cymryd rhan mewn arferion ceisio iechyd. Tiwtora trafodaethau wythnosol a chyfarfod â myfyrwyr yn unigol i drafod traethodau, datblygiad personol a sylwadau ar adborth traethodau.
· Geiriau, esgyrn, gweithredoedd a phethau 2009: Tiwtora 15 o fyfyrwyr am 2 semester mewn cwrs a gynhaliwyd gan anthropoleg ac archaeoleg fel cyflwyniad i'r ddau bwnc. Profiad datblygedig yn tiwtora myfyrwyr o ddisgyblaethau gwyddorau nad ydynt yn gymdeithasol a gymerodd y cwrs fel dewisol.
· Cyflwyniad i anthropoleg datblygiad a gwahaniaeth 2009: Cwrs blwyddyn gyntaf tiwtoraidd am 1 semester, sy'n dangos i fyfyrwyr sut i greu dadleuon, cynnal chwiliadau llenyddiaeth a datblygu sgiliau ysgrifennu.
· Cred a symbolaeth: tiwtora 15-20 o fyfyrwyr israddedig am 3 semester, gan ddatblygu arddulliau ysgrifennu myfyrwyr a dadleuon mewn tiwtorialau wythnosol ar ffurf seminar.
· Anthropoleg trwy ethnograffeg 2011, 2014, 2015, 2016: tiwtora dros 4 semester i fyfyrwyr israddedig blwyddyn olaf. Defnyddiodd y cwrs lenyddiaeth ar ddulliau ymchwil a dadl ddadansoddol i ddatblygu prosiectau ymchwil a gynhaliwyd gan fyfyrwyr mewn grwpiau. Fe wnes i arwain a hwyluso myfyrwyr trwy ddyluniad y prosiect a datblygu'r ymchwil a'r trafodaethau damcaniaethol mewn trafodaethau wythnosol a oedd yn eu galluogi i ddylunio a chynnal ymchwil.
